Начало издания настоящего журнала совпадает с широким разма­

хом, который приняло в нашей стране стахановское движение, зна­
менующее переход всего нашего народного хозяйства на следующую,
более высокую ступень развития. Автоматика и телемеханика —
мощный рычаг дальнейшего развития стахановского движения вглубь
Й вширь. Широкое внедрение наличных и дальнейшее развитие
новых методов автоматики и телемеханики во всех отраслях народного
хозяйства и быта позволит очень сильно повысить использование
не только существующего оборудования, но и имеющихся кадров
на гораздо более широком фронте работы.
Журнал ставит своей задачей помочь стахановцам „выжать из
техники максимум", широко используя ту научную базу, которая
почти целиком создана в нашей стране после Октября.
В настоящем, первом, номере журнала нашла свое отражение одна
из крупных работ, проведенных в нашем Союзе за последние годы,
которая, несомненно, послужит в качестве одного из серьезных тех­
нических средств для введения автоматических устройств на значи­
тельном участке технической жизни страны. В стенографическом
докладе инж. Л. А. Кубецкого даны те результаты, которые им полу­
чены к началу 1935 г. С тех пор многое, о чем говорилось в прениях
по поводу доклада, уже сделано.
В одном из ближайших номеров журнала будет дано дальнейшее
освещение проделанной работы.
Редакция надеется, что представители нашей науки и техники
дадут возможность постоянно информировать читателей на страни­
цах журнала о дальнейших победах на фронте углубления и расши­
рения стахановского движения при помощи внедрения в производ­
ственную практику Союза основ автоматики и телемеханики.

 Editorial

The publication of the first number of our journal coincides with the]
upward swing in our country of the Stakhanov movement which heralds;
the transition of the whole national economy to a new and higher stage.:
Automatic and telemetering devices become powerful instruments for
further development of the Stakhanov movement. The application of the
present methods of automatics and telemetering in the various branches
of the national economy as well as the further development of these
methods will lead not only to a considerable increase in the efficiency
of the available equipment but also to a widening of the field of activity
of the engineering cadres.
Our journal pursues the object of „squeezing out of technics as much
as possible" by using to the full the scientific foundations which are
almost entirely the product of postrevolutionary times.
One of the most important problems tackled in our Union during the
last few years is reflected in this first number. This work will undoub­
tedly form an important technical baste for the use of automatic devices
in many aspects of technics in our country. The results obtained by
L. A. Kubetzky, Eng. at the beginning of 1935 are presented in the form
of his stenographic report. Since then a great deal discussed at meetings
in connexion with his report has been brought to life.
An account of further work will be given in one of the next issues
of our journal.
We sincerely hope that the state of our science and technics will
enable us to record in the pages of this journal other victories won at
the iront of s u r p a s s i n g the leading capitalist countries", victories of no
less importance than those already reported of work both started and
carried out without foreign help.
