2 The cables are neatly and tightly bound. The cable ties are evenly spaced and face
the same direction.
3 Different types of cables, such as the power cable, PGND cable, feeder, fiber optic
cable, E1/T1, and FE/GE signal cable are separately bound.
4 The layout of all cables facilitates the maintenance and capacity expansion. For
example, the maintenance transfer cable is bound to the outside of the BBU cable
claw, as shown in the following figure.
6 The extra length of the indoor cable ties is cut off, and the cut surfaces are smooth
without sharp edges. The extra length of 3 mm (0.11 in.) to 5 mm (0.19 in.) of the
outdoor cable ties is reserved when the cable ties are cut.
8 The connectors of the RF cables are secured to avoid false connection that will cause
an abnormal voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR).

Powering On a Base Station
This section describes how to power on a base station and handle power-on failures.
Prerequisites
l Components in the TP48200A are securely installed and the cable connections are correct.
l The power supply to the TP48200A meets the power system requirements.
l The external power supply to the TP48200A is disconnected and all circuit breakers are set
to OFF.
Context
DANGER
A power-on check involves high-voltage. Be cautious when conducting the power-on check. Do
not use you hand or damp objects to touch the device with input voltage. This might be fatal.
NOTICE
l Power on a TP48200A or BBU within 7 days after unpacking it. If you power off a TP48200A
or BBU for maintenance, restore power to the cabinet or BBU within 48 hours.
l
After you unpack an RRU, power on it within 24 hours. If you power off the RRU for
maintenance, restore power to the RRU within 24 hours.
Power-on Process
The following figure shows the power-on process.
Procedure
Step 1 Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the external power supply and the ground
to ensure that there is no short circuit.
Step 2 Turn on the external power circuit breaker to power on the TP48200A.
Step 3 Set the circuit breaker on the DC PDU to ON.
Step 4 Set the power circuit breaker on the UPEU in the BBU to ON, and check the power supply to
components in the cabinet according to the following table.
Component IndicationofNormalPowerSupply
Step 5 Optional: If the power supply to a component fails after the cabinet is powered on, handle the
fault according to the instructions in the following table.
Failure in the power Check whether the power cables are reversely connected.
supply to all components l If the cables are incorrectly connected, set all the circuit
in the cabinet breakers to OFF, and then reconnect the power cables.
l If the cables are correctly connected, replace the power units.

Follow-up Operations
This chapter describes the operations that need to be performed after the installation, which
include sealing the cable outlets on the cabinet and repainting the cabinet.
Procedure
Step 1 Install the removed plane into the srcinal position.
Step 2 Take fireproof mud out of the accessory package to seal the cable outlets that have cables routed
out, and use plugs or covers to seal the cable outlets that have no cables routed out.
Step 3 The paint on the surface of the cabinet should be kept intact. Therefore, any damaged paint must
be repaired. For details, see Applying Touch-Up Paint.
