CHAPTER 7

HUMAN FLOURISHING

GUIDE QUESTIONS:

1. WHAT IS “YOUR ONE THING” THAT YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT?
ELABORATE YOUR ANSWER.

To be honest my cellphone, why? We all know that every person has a cellphone and social
media accounts. Teenager it is the age of being addicted to gadgets wherein mobile games and
socializing are one of the most serious problems why learners can't focus on their study.
Nowadays, the smart phone has become more of a necessity than a luxury. It’s pretty evident that
our smart phones have become invaluableable resources that we simply can’t live without. Most
people cannot even imagine going a day without one. Our smart phones give us everything we
need to communicate faster, get through the day, and entertain ourselves. It doesn’t get much
better than that.

2. GIVEN THE CHANCE TO LIVE WITH ONLY ONE PARENT, BETWEEN YOUR MOM
AND DAD, WHOM YOU WILL CHOOSE? WHY?

This is difficult question but for me I’d rather to chose both of them. Why? Because of them I am
here to see how the world’s beautiful. They are my pillars of strength. They are my guide and
give me the courage to battle problems in life. My parents have made me aware what life is
about and how to find that little ray of happiness in difficult situations. The support and affection
of my parents is what I am today and what I will become in future involves. They have made me
disciplined, dedicated and sincere. My parents fill sweetness in my life. From my childhood I
have learnt everything from my parents.

3. ALL OF US COMMIT MISTAKES. MISTAKES ARE INEVITABLE. CAN YOU CITE

ONE GREATEST MISTAKE THAT YOU HAVE DONE IN YOUR LIFE? IF YOU WILL BE
GIVEN A CHANCE TO CORRECT YOUR MISTAKE, ARE YOU WILLING TO GO BACK
AND CORRECT IT OR YOU WILL JUST CONTINUE TO LIVE THE CONSEQUENCES OF
YOUR ACTIONS? ELABORATE YOUR ANSWER.

The reasons for making mistakes is that we don’t repeat them. If you are talking about altering
the past so you never end up making those mistakes, you could create a paradox in which you
wouldn’t be able to make said mistakes which would not cause you to go back in time to change
them. It’s certainly inviting to go back and do it right, but I actually wouldn’t. I think if I
changed my past actions, I wouldn’t be the same person right now. If I corrected my actions, I
would have turn out with a bunch of different people and might not met some of those I have
known by now. Who knows what might have occured if that was the case.

“NO MAN IS AN ISLAND, ENTIRE OF ITSELF. EVERY MAN IS A PIECE OF THE

CONTINENT, A PART OF THE MAIN” EXPLAIN THIS QUOTATION.

No person lives without looking at others. Everyone needs the help of one another. We are equal
in the eyes of God and we are here to unite, to help and to love one another. We will need each
other because no one will help you but your own people. Our unity is for the betterment of our
country.

CONCLUDING QUESTIONS:

1. What do you value most in life? How does this contribute to happiness and meaning in your
life?

My family, they’re very important to me that’s why I chose to be a nurse to do my job first in our
home, to check their health as long as I can. I can do everything that will make them happy and
proud of me. They always support me from the beginning til end and love me for who I am.
They’re my first in teacher, teach me how to write, read, appreciate me all things and how life is
important. Because of them I learned a lot and one thing that I never be forgot to ‘Put God first
and everthing will be fine’ and that’s true.

2. What are your indicators of success in life?

There is only one factor which indicates that I am succeeding. The ‘Try Hard' or ‘Learning’
attitude. The moment you feel you are losing this attitude, indicates you are not succeeding. In
contrast to that if you feel you have that approach but you know that you are officially failing
then remember the root of success is growing beneath the land of your life which is unseen for
sometime which is the foundation of big and huge accomplishment coming in future. That desire
decides or indicates your success and the perseverance associated with it.

3. What role do your relationships with others have in the development of meaning in your life?

All I can say is that without them I would not be where I am today. They are the ones who give
us the courage to carry on the trials of life. The love they feel for me can say I really enjoy living
in the world and I will not let them lose me.
