General ideas

It's Brassalar and to the east of there that I was thinking as the plains land. Except the
map has it covered in forests. So maybe it's off the map. It's the least detailed land though,
I have notes for most of the rest. But clearly only part of it is on the map and I intended the
Brassalar should be the biggest geographically. They have cities in the west, I was thinking
perhaps that's an area where they settle for trade but then roam back out to the east
I quite like to see the majority of the population as orc types . Hobgoblin orcs, bugbears,
Maybe some elf as the ruling class
Or even halflings as clergy/shaman
Human viewed as unnatural due to they fighting against nature instead of working with it

Halfling martial tradition that the old empire taught in the part of the world. The Brassalarians are
still heavily influenced by it and recall the mighty sprites of the past

Im thinking that the hobgoblins where loyal servants to the halfling until they allowed they
base instincts to be manipulation by humans and broke the halfling empire during "the
great betrayal". Only when the human turned on them in turn did they realise they grave
mistake. So now the hobgoblin follow "the way" to keep themselves from being
manipulated by the other races

Hobgoblins seem to carry this burden to this time, but no longer understand what occurred
and do it more than a tradition. So for example yojim would call garamin lord, but if insulted
it won't stop them want to correct the slight against they honour

Totem Caste System

Sun Eagles Totem

Mostly wanders and bandits Chaotic and lawless individuals Majority of these forced towards the boarders
of the Brassalar as Border Reivers. Guril-Forsitie & The Yrimba would see many of these

Golden Dragon

This totem is a symbolic for the current ruling Khan blood family Only on rare occasions as a true
follower of this Totem occurred tho the history of Brassalar and it is said that the first Khan was the
embodiment of this Totem. The totem symbolises some one of great power, wealth and Wisdom

Moon Wolf

Neutral individuals, who will commit evils for the good of society Prefects, low level Miltra, community
leaders To be found in most parts of civilised area of Brassalar
Sky Serpent

Mercantile Class, civil servants, politicians & judges Found though out the the Khanate Jade Lion Martial
Class of the populations, Majority are Lawful but vary on they levels of cruelty Found though out the the
Khanate mostly in organised locations/regiments

The Nu Sui

Editor notes – Art of War vs Dualism philosophy (ying yang for example)

Dualism philosophy
Heavens vs Subterrain world (Tengrism)

heavens being “chaos” - sunlight, rain & wind

Subterrain world being “order” - Minerals, soil and stillness

To much of either isn't a good thing!

The above needs tweaking and condensing – But personally I will try to play characters to
it

Guildes – Unlike in rest of the lands

So a
diplomat/spy/magic users guild
Exporter/importer trader guild

Im think Hobgoblins taken from DnD world are all about the leadership structure and will
follow orders to the letter (generally). China (Cohong) and Japan for example both had

The Cohong, sometimes spelled kehang or gonghang, was

a guild of Chinese merchants or hongs who operated the import-export monopoly in
Canton (now Guangzhou) during the Qing dynasty (1644–1911). During the century prior
to the First Opium War of 1839, trade relations between China and Europe were
exclusively conducted via the Cohong, which was formalised by imperial edict in 1760 by
the Qianlong Emperor. The Chinese merchants who made up the Cohong were referred
to as hangshang (行商) and their foreign counterparts as yanghang (literally "foreign
traders")

I think it needed as it help the Khanate of Brassalar to maintain an appearance as savage
