ORIENTATION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DEPED ORDER NO. 029 S. 2019

(DO 029) AND NEW PROTOCOL ON DISBURSEMENTS

1. In line with the implementation of DepEd Order No. 029 s. 2019 (DO 029) on
the Procedural Guidelines on the Management of Cash Advances for School
Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses and Program Funds of Non-
Implementing Units Pursuant to COA, DBM and DepEd Joint Circular No.
2019-1, an Orientation on the Implementing Rules and Regulations relative to
DepEd Order No. 029 s. 2019 and the new guidelines on disbursements shall be
conducted through a webinar on January 21 & 22, 2021 from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

2. This activity aims to provide the participants with the detailed procedures
and guidelines for the implementation of the provisions embodied in the Order to
properly monitor, record and account financial transactions of all non-IUs resulting
in the effective and efficient management of their cash advances.

3. Participants to the activity are the School Heads and ADAS Finance
Personnel of every district. They are directed to log in to the Zoom link (to be
disseminated via group chat) at least 30 minutes before the start of the program on
this schedule.

4. Each group (composed of School Heads and ADAS Finance Personnel per
district) shall prepare one laptop, one projector, one wide screen/white wall, tables
and chairs in their venue of choice.

5. They are also directed to observe the minimum public health and safety
standards set by the IATF to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease
2019 (Covid-19).

6. Immediate dissemination to this memorandum is directed.
