1. A look at your personality.
I have gentle nature

I am an imaginative and creative person.I sometimes dream instead of concentrating . I enjoy the
company of a lot of people around you. I am sentimental and romantic but I trust others too much .I
am adventurous. Also I am ambitious, self-confident, organized, energetic person

I have a normal appearance, but I consider myself attractive

i have straight fair hair with centre parting. Shape of my face is oval. I have big dark eyes and long
curling eyelashes. My cheeks is always rosy.I have full pink lips and pale skin. Im tall and i have an
hour-glass figure
3.      Is it right to judge people by their appearance?

Most people judge the people just by looking at their appearances because that's the first
thing visible to us. The appearance tells a lot about a person. The way he dress, the shoes he
wears, even the color of the dress will tell us about the mood of the person. Its very
important to present ourselves in our best way.

As we all know, a person can be beautiful on the outside, but not so nice on
the inside, and vice versa
In my mind beauty is more than skin-deep. I have a friend, her name is Nastya,
many people consider her ugly and she doesn't care about herself
, but she hard works for is the kindest person I have met.

So People shouldn't judge other people by their physical appearance

4.      The person I admire.
Someone I admire is my cousin Laura. She’s five years older than me, so she’s 23 now and she
lives in Kiev. She’s very friendly and confident and she’s got long, wavy, brown hair and greeny-
brown eyes.

She’s been dancing since she was six years old and trains every day at her dance school. She
wants to be a professional dancer, but it’s a very difficult profession .
Laura is very busy because she also studies photography at university. She’s a really good
photographer and has taken lots of amazing photos of me and my family. Her photos have won a
few prizes and last year one of her photos was in an exhibition at an art gallery in London.
Laura doesn’t have a lot of free time and she’s also trying to learn German because she wants to go
to Germany next year to do a photography course. I think Laura is very hard-working and she
deserves to become a professional dancer one day.
5.      An ideal family.
Well everyone would have a different perspective about a perfect family, for some it may be
non existent, but for me it does exist.

A perfect family is one where all the members are open to each other. There is no
generation gap between parents and children. They have fun like friends

The most important thing is no barrier between members, they share all thing , like
happiness or unhapiness.

Care, understanding and love for everyone among family members.. we need to understand
different point of views.

Family where member does not think.for them selves but for others..

Every family must define themselves and follow what is best for them

Family is an organization filled with love and collaboration.

6.      Problems of a single-parent family.

Parenthood is challenging under the best of conditions. With one parent, the challenges are
multiplied.
single parents have responsibility overload, when one parent makes all the decisions and
provides for all of the family needs;
they have task over-load,
emotional over-load
these problems result in loneliness, anxiety, and depression.
The children in one-parent family also have problems
For examle
 The effects of conflict between the parents.
 Lack of time together with parent
 Effects of the breakup on children's school performance and peer relations.
 family relationships.
 Problems caused by the parents' dating and entering new relationships.
The single parent can help family members face these difficulties by talking with each other
about their feelings and working together to tackle problems. Support from friends, other family
members and places of worship can help too.

7.      Advantages and disadvantages of growing up in a large family.
In the past people wanted to have many kids, but now is popular a type of family
where are parents and one or two children.
There are many advantages and disadvantages of having a big family. I the past
famielies were much bigger than now.
The first advantage of having a lot of brothers or sisters is joyful and happy life. In
big families always someone tells you something nice or does some surprises.
You never feel solitary in so large group because they always make you
smile. The next good thing about having many brothers or sisters is helping each
other with every work. For example elder from the sibling, helps with homework
the younger one. Person who lives in a large family is more responsible and
sociable than somebody who was always an only child.
Not as much 1-on-1 time with parents.
Less money
Less space
Less alone time.
Someone is always fighting – at least when you’re kids.

8.      Advantages and disadvantages of being an only child.
+

1. You get the undivided love and attention of your parents.

2. You get more toys than normal, more money to spend than normal, and
more inheritance than normal.
3. You are not expected to live up to the standards of older siblings.
4. Parents are able to spend more money, time, and attention on the child's
school.
-
1. Perhaps the most apparent disadvantage of being an only child is the
feeling of loneliness. Not having a sibling to play with regularly, or who they are
able to share their thoughts and memories with, can be difficult.
LIKE A SHAG ON A ROCK

1. Parents may become too attached to the child's success and try to live
through them, rather than giving them space.
2. They may BE self-confidence.

BOL`SHINSTVO MY FRIENDS WHO ARE ONLY ONE KID IN FAMILY SAY ME

THAT THEY WANT TO HAVE A SIBLING
IN MY OPINION, IF FAMILY HAS ONE CHILD OR MORE THAN ONE CHILD , IT DOESN’T
MATTER , there are Advantages and disadvantages everywhere

10.    Is life easy for teenagers today?

Young people face many challenges. Typical problems of teenagers include lack of recognition, lack
of money, unemployment, learn problems, establishing contacts, loneliness, sometimes drug,
tobacco addition , influence of bad crowd in the street etc.

Family problems are difficult. The teenagers disire to be independent of restrictions and nowadays
teenagers have more problem then other generation. And these difference awake misunderstanding
with parents.

The young people deeply concerned with material problems. Students who live separately from their
parents , they face the problem of funding themselves while they are studying. Another problem in
studying are marks. Studying is a major problem for many students

Loneliness is painful problem. It is burning to find real friends and a soulmate in transitional period.

A problem of drugs is very actual. A lot of teenagers have drug addiction. It often leads to bad ends.
So as you see it's very difficult to be young.
11.    Generation gap: what is it like?
One of the important problems of all times is a generation gap. Adult's mentality is
different from teenager's. We are the children of two epochs with different views on
various subjects. Because of this parents and children sometimes argue with each
other. Some people don't want to understand modern views, ideals and our system of
values. They say that teenagers are cruel, brutal, heartless and rude.
In most cases "new generation" doesn't understand their parents and becomes
depressed because of this. To protest against it, teens can shock people around them.
That's why it is considered that teens today are lazy and ill-behaved. Elderly people
usually compare their childhood and youth with present, they are always talking about
"the good old days". Sometimes when we talk to adults, they listen only to threir own
point of view
But, in fact, we should simply learn to understand each other.
12.    What are advantages and disadvantages of living with your
parents?
You will save money.
One of the biggest advantages of living with your parents is that you can save a lot more money.

2) You won't have to do all the housework.

3) Someone will cook a nice meal when you can't.
4) Your parents can help with your kids.
7) You have a caring, supportive community built in.
8) You have the freedom to take more risks.
Because you're not completely stretched to the limit financially, living at home gives you a little wiggle
room to take risks.

Disadvantages of Living With Your Parents

1) You don't have any privacy or private space.
2) You can't call friends over or have house parties.
3) Unwelcome advice about your life.
they always want to give you advice

4)there is a generational gap between you and your parents, you can't expect them to think or behave
like you

9) Your parents will always treat you as their child.

You may be 30, but you must remember that your parents will always look at you as their child.

15.    Reasons why people take up hobbies.

The most important reason for people who take up hobbies is getting away from boring everyday
routine because the life of the most of people is monotonous and sometimes you want to try
something new,

17.    Is higher education valuable and necessary nowadays?

Reason #1: Pass Your Education – Get Paid Higher

The first reason for choosing a higher institution is the most trivial one –
money. You may be super talented and extraordinary individual, but,
unfortunately, you won’t get paid as high as you deserve without
corresponding diploma. If you want to work for a serious corporation, forget
about empty resume without any higher education or work background.
Reason #2: Getting lost?

If you get stuck with choosing your future career, higher institution is the
place which can help you to make the right decision. Even if you start
studying and realize that some of the subjects do not correspond to your life
goals, you can switch to other disciplines or move to another institution.
That is possible.
New experience and emotion
Within the framework of their education, students have a chance to
attend many different internship and volunteering programs. This is an
unforgettable experience which might influence your further work in a
positive way.
4) Students life is very interesting .  it is impossible to ignore the funny
aspects of this life stage.
18.    How do hobbies change with age?

People lose interest in their hobbies because they’re not really interested in it, as much as
they use to. When people get older they change, and so does it’s attitude. отношение
People change from past experience, and the stuff they’ve learned from it.

However.. they know about it, and learn from it. All I know is my attitude changed.

When I was 5 I started painting. Soon i had a friend Katherine and i shared my hobby with
her and we began to draw together.

When i was 14 i took up embroidering , sewing and knitting because it relaxed me. A year
later i gave up knitting and sewing.

A couple years ago i get interested in japanese animation.its called anime.

Now I have a few new hobbies , for example doing crossword , reading
19.    Raising pets, collecting things: an interesting and exciting pastime?

In my opinion collecting is very interesting, informative because every thing that has own history

You have some thing and you can learn its history, get to know better the culture of other countries
or particular periods

You can collect anything from stamps to real car , but the most popular things that people collect
there are stamps, badges , postcard, models cars, coins. Some collectors exchange their treasure to
get something more useful or more interesting for them,. When you share , exchange or discusse
collecting , you can meet many new people. its great
raising pets is fun too. The pet gives you the feeling that you are not alone, warm, you feel love.
Your pet can protect you if it is, for example, a dog. But I never have pets , so I don’t know it is
interesting and exiting pastime

20.    Why do people choose high-risk sports as their hobbies?

The most important reason for people who chose high-risk sport as their hobby is getting away from
boring everyday routine because the life of the most of people is monotonous and sometimes you
want to try something new, new kind of the sport is really thrilling expirience
They are addicted to the risk of it. I once saw a tv program about it. Our bodies produces a chemical
or hormones while we are doing extreme activities. And you can become addicted to it

for example don kellner has jumped out of an airplane 40000 times setting the new world record

in my opinion he has extreme addiction

• a new personal challenge . for people who like to set goals and achieve them

• they have a wish for fame and money and becoming the centre of attention at work and in any
company

They seek for adventure and thrill or danger for the fun of it

The strong men prove their masculinity/ courage

the young people are deeply concerned with material problems.Quite a few students, especially
those living separately from their parents, face the problem of funding themselves while they are
studying. Some of them have to work part-time to make both ends meet. But out of the frying pan
into the fire! Their problem-solving efforts become a stumbling block to their successful learning and
passing the exams.

Hourly wages are considerably lower for part-time workers

unemployment may be a more serious problem. Some students need to earn money for their
studies, but they cannot find work, so there is a risk that they will not be able to continue their studies
to lack of money
23.    Your “secret technique” of showing a good academic performance
at university.
Ways to Improve Academic Performance

You should believe in yourself and Understand Yourself.

You don’t have to study all day, every day, but you can take the time to read your notes at least once a
day. students who commit some time every day to studying they perform at a much higher level than
those who cram before an exam

playing games tends to increase.
3. Improved Life Skills

Video games involve taking risks, and the ability to strategize.

4. May Ease Anxiety and Depression

It has been found that people are more confident, energetic and
emotionally positive when they play video games, which is exactly the
opposite of what depression brings about.
1. Addiction

Video games are designed to be addictive, so it is essential to have some

self-control.
2. Social Replacement

Video games often act as a replacement for real-time human

connections.
. overweight

Lack of motion causes the risk of being overweight increases with every
hour people spend on virtual play.

Often, children playing violent video games , it has bad effects on

different children

26.    Describe problems that you are experiencing now.
I face and tackle some problems now. I have
Learning problems
Time management problems
Family problems
Money problems
Health problems
The urgent problem for me is learning problem December is time for exams, every day, all time I
prepare and cram before an exam . I have very much tasks. it is hard for me . But I hope that i will
do well in exams
The challenging problem for me is Time management problems. I have very much tasks but i dont
know how to manage time. I go to social networks very often and spend a lot of time there. I don't
know how to solve this problem
The major problem for me is Family problems. My mom is over 50. our problem is a generation gap,
she does not understand me, my decisions, so we often argue and quarrel
The reccuring problem for me is Health problems. I have problems with my heart and headache . I
hate it because if you are ill , you feel bad, you dont have good mood, you are always very sad and
slow
The burning problem for me is Money problems. New year is coming soon, I want to give everyone
good gifts, but I have no money because I study and do not have time to work
27.    Problems faced by teenagers and youth in Ukraine.

Young people face many challenges. Typical problems of teenagers include lack of recognition, lack
of money, unemployment, learn problems, establishing contacts, loneliness, sometimes drug,

28.    My future profession (teacher/interpreter).

I chose this proffesion I like foreign languages a lot. I love studying them and learn how they function. Right
now I speak English but I would like to learn French or Italian
It is a very interesting and high-paid job that is very promising. Interpreters are often sent abroad on business
trips where they can talk to native speakers and learn about other cultures. it’s never boring
Translators are in high demand nowadays because a lot of companies have contracts with foreign partners

29.    How to choose the most appropriate higher education

establishment?

Choosing a university is one of the biggest decisions

first of all, I would advise you to choose the subjects that you like, af

after that you should find a profession where this knowledge will be useful

choose a university or a country that allows you the freedom to experiment with different subjects to
help you find your areas of interest.

The second things

4. Societies
If you have an hobby or interest that you wish to continue while at university, make sure that this
university supports that.

The next thing

Cost

When you choose a university you should look how much it will cost you. If you decide to stay in your
home town, you are more likely to spend less than if you choose to study abroad

The final thing

1. Distance and Location

Consider how far away from home you would like be while you study
ask yourself if you would feel more at home in a big city or in a smaller town. Think about the location
you would feel the most comfortable

30.    Time and money-consuming hobbies

I know many Time and money-consuming hobbies

For example

3-PAINTING- If you want to make beautiful pictures you need to have good paints. good
paints, brushes are very expensive. when you paint a landscape or a portrait you can spend
the whole day on it. I know it because I often paint, i adore this passtime

Mountaineering is an epic, adventurous sport and high- risk leisure activities. It is also
very expensive , Because rock climbers spend a lot of money on equipment
Computer games. very often in computer games there are a lot of paid items that need to be bought
for real money. without these items you cannot succeed in the game. my friend spends 4 hours a
day playing games, I think that's a lot
Gardening. my aunt loves gardening, she spends a lot of money on unusual types of plants and
flowers
Collecting. Depending on what you collect, you spend a different amount of money. If you collect
stamps it is not as expensive as real cars.
