Guide Questions for Task #3:

1. How are women projected in the Philippine society?

Identity doesn’t mean determine thy concept. Knowing somehow bended doesn’t have
opportunity to shape. Once political knowledge preludes some constant value as women didn’t
raise any motion from whom deserve to be a leader or any position to the society. Propelling a
courage farewell beneath the unfamiliar things may cope up somewhat nearby across the
boundary between where they could be and what could be the possible for remaining amongst
them. Asunder with nothing- nonetheless, it comes exist with the still wider significance that
barely resist often. Yes, women defined as broken, and weak. Doesn’t have voice to shout out.
Don’t have opportunity to show what they intended to show. Unto now, they come into the
concept for it own sustainable future.
2. What is the current situation of women in the Philippines?
A great transformation in past had sweeping change of upheaval and fears. Precursor in the past
that have been mended in today’s circumstances. They treat as leader, and spoke person,
influencer, braver, strong and would never be in line from the past tragedy.
3. How is violence happening at home? In the Philippine society?
Raped, murdered, abused, preposterous things that may happened around the home.
Blasphemous and dreadful to think. Biting the heart of a positive mind. Yes, some psychological
and environmental factor that both affect the violence at home in the Philippines society. One is
if they’ve had a bad temper mind that settle them to be bad, common practice for a bad habit
will lead to be bad. In environment if they have bad background from the past will hold up onto
now. That’s why reason some violence happened at home but one thing for sure. There’s no
innately bad people only bad circumstances that makes them bad.
4. Is there a way to end violence against women?

5. What are the modes of the woman, family or relatives, government (both local and national) to
address violence against women?
6. What is your stand on the conditions of women in the Philippines? How about the modes of
addressing the issue of violence in the Philippines?
TASK #4:
Write a 3-5 pages essay about women in the Patriarchal Philippine society. Discuss the conditions and
roles of women in the pre-colonial era, how was it changed during the colonial era, and how is the
condition of women during the contemporary period? Substantiate your essay with facts and details.
We are relating by so much gratification that might be possible to forget the things that
makes them possible. Women-strong and independent. Upheaval and sometimes caught by fears.
Tragedy and blasphemous that would come up in lacking some opportunities and never-ending
love and care. “what a lifetime achievement?” -missing some fortunes that had been buried at the
depth of the road: passing by of some passengers, whom to propel, kick by the standard set-in
society. A courage farewell wrapped around the world and finally surprise the waves of human
thinking, human seeking, and human provoking. Beyond the reasonable doubt we are blew up
beyond our wildest expectation. one thing I found so beautiful about other cultures is seeing how
women always seem to have some kinds of community with each other. They share their ideas,
their problems, their solutions, and teach and learn from each ether, generation through. Two
thirds believe that women won’t achieve equality in their country unless men take actions to
support women’s rights too. However, opinion is split on whether too much is being expected of
men to help the fight for equality: 43% agree that men are being expected to do too much
compared with 46% who disagree. Agreement is higher among men than women (50% vs 36%).
generation, friendship to friendship. However, women still face significant issues. Three in ten
people globally (30%) pick out sexual harassment as the top issue facing women, which is in line
with findings in 2018 when the figure was 32%. Equal pay is highlighted as much more of an
issue in many European countries. Respondents in Serbia (41%), Australia (40%), Poland (24%)
and Russia (21%) see domestic abuse as the top issue, whilst people in South Korea (31%) and
Japan (26%) feel that balancing work and caring responsibilities is the top issue that women are
facing.
Globally, the top actions that people feel would help to achieve equality between men and
women are employers paying women the same as men for the same work (36%) and tougher
laws to prevent violence and harassment against women (35%). The majority (69% and 68%)
believe these respective actions will have a positive impact in achieving equality. As William
Shakespeare said “the world would be imperfect without the present of the woman.” Women are
not perfectly in their role. The position of women in the society, and, particularly, in relation to
man, has had over the millennia many facets. And now there seems to be a semblance of equality
but is fictitious. Constraints of a much too close past are too deeply rooted. Women find
themselves suspended between the real self-consciousness and the conditioning of a society that
wants women adhering to the idea that this society has made of them. At the dawn of
civilization, the women has had a great importance and in fact there was kind of matriarchal
social system. Wanting to be buried under heavy layers of cloth, which in addition to the already
mentioned problems, do not allow proper breathing, and that sort of mosquito net at eye level, to
prevent her in bumping into any pile, does not even allow her to enjoy the splendor of
nature: while- the nature-surely shows itself without veils.
The role of women has changed tremendously, and they have been able to create a
positive impression in the society. the transition can be seen at an accelerating rate.
Modernization and the advent of the latest technology have widened hope and opportunities for
them. They have established themselves socially, politically and economically in almost every
field. Women are no longer considered unfit or weak for “ALL OF THESE THINGS” The
journey of liberation of women has crossed many milestones and the society has indeed come a
long way. They have struggled hard over the last few decades but still been able to successfully
establish their own identity. Today’s women are adorned with patience and perseverance, which
has helped them to attain the pinnacle of success. Earlier, women were seen only as housewives
who were projected to cook, clean and take care of their family. Today- along with handling
tough clients at office, they successfully multitask at home too. Women are more focused and
have a unique decision-making power even at senior leadership level, in the most optimal
manner, and at times are in a better position than men. Empowering women can help the society
to grow and develop at a faster pace. We are redesigning the world. Women are the primary
caretakers of children and elders in every country of the world. International studies demonstrate
that when the economy and political organization of a society change, women take the lead in
helping the family adjust to new realities and challenges. They are likely to be the prime initiator
of outside assistance and play an important role in facilitating (or hindering) changes in family
life. In pre-colonial Philippines, women were respected, their place rooted in the legend of the
islands: Lubluban, the Visayan lawgiver; Arao, the Ilocano Eve; Bangan, the Igorot Juno; and
Sambuyuya, the Tiruray Virgin demigoddess. In 1433, almost a century before the Spanish
regime, Calantiao, the third chief of Panay, promulgated a penal code in which a high regard for
Filipino women was apparent. Foreign observers, too, recognised the important contribution that
Filipino women played in insular life. Early Spanish writers lavished praise on Filipino women
for their industry and capabilities, holding them in greater esteem than men, and leading to the
saying that 'In the Philippines, the best man is the woman. In the minds of Filipinos, man and
woman were created from a common source. From the first legend, they emerged from a
bamboo; from the second legend, both men and women were made out of clay. These ideas,
traditionally, place man and woman on the same footing. The early Filipinos generally attached
equal value to male and fern ale children. As a rule, girls and boys were received into the family circle
with the same regard. Only the Solanum seemed slightly biased in favour of male children, while
the Bagobos paid a midwife a somewhat greater sum on the birth of a boy and the Negrito
universally preferred male issue. In cases of infanticide, and of the buying and selling of
children, no distinction was made in the sex of the victimized child. In most community’s child-
rearing was shared by the mother and the father . An interesting practice among early Filipinos
and non-Christi and minorities, which implied the high status cif women, was the mother's right
to give names to the children, boys and girls. It was believed that the name was that by which the
child was summoned into the field of thought and was necessary for its full existence. That, to
the mind of the people, was the power of a name. If the Filipino women of this period had this
prerogative of giving names, then it follows that the community had high respect and regard for
them. In the contemporary world in which almost acceptable to raise and be a leader of a certain
community- women, now standing still and feel normal that wasn’t feel the past years of being
slave in mind of human thinking. Free and model of human portrayal. Be and line and never
judge easily according from what they had done. They leave and imprint culture that bond
together for a future nation’s development.
Everyone has its own role, and all of the roles are important: from bee to human being,
from flower to stone, from planet to the galaxy. Everything has its own meaning of existence in
the harmony of creation, the all that is one, the infinite. If we think of being part of an infinite
universe and if the universe is really infinite, who can be said to be higher or lower? What are the
parameter to say that? You cannot say it. Sometimes the women does not realize how important
is, her sacredness, her energy. Neither man is conscious. It will be years before the tamed brain
wake up. The coming of the colonizers created in the islands an alteration of the processes and
knowledge of one’s identity. These have caused a crucial erasure of the fountainhead of
women’s identity in the Philippine archipelago. The route of how that identity has changed
through the years shows how chains of colonial oppression muddle and confuse Filipino
women’s image. It further reveals how the ensuing confusion impairs the present circumstances
of the Filipino women’s existence. A torrent meaning beneath civilization women deals which
such a good acting to reveals the peace, unity, looks and diversity and how amazing of their act
of resistance can save what parts civilization. In a world where we compromise and learn to love
our enemies, in a world where it's safe to go outside, is where we're supposed to be. People say
it's far away but somehow it feels close to me. So much to lose and lost. But women never search
in lost of time, they were supposed to grow up beneath the unfamiliar world.
