from plants to animals which contributed in the living of every Filipinos. From the food we eat, in
culture, in medicines, materials we acquire every day and even in the changes of climate,

reserve, it results to biodiversity loss. Different organizations have been voicing out their
opinions and raising awareness to the public about the effect of these issues. even the
government agencies are doing actions to sustain biodiversity and acts have been passed
which aims to preserve and protect the biodiversity, researches are also conducted but these
actions can’t be done due to the reason of having no fund or low budget and lack of support
from the officials.
The Philippine Biodiversity are protected by a variety of laws which includes:

are in partnership with some government agencies.
Republic Act No. 7586 of 1992 - National Integrated Protected Areas System Act
1992 – this law aims to secure the future of every species, to prolong its existence. Two of the

specified areas must be protected and conserved for the reason that it will be the species’
shelter.
