and 2.5 cm in breadth. These strips act as connectivity
between the actual HRC fuses and the fuse bases.
2. The aluminium sheets are used to pack silica in the
ceramic body.
3. The thin copper strips used for connectivity inside the
fuse.
All the cutting process is carried on with the help
of Power Pressed and Hand Pressed Machines.
C. Plating:
The various metal parts used to manufacture the fuses are
given plates of silver and tin.
D. Soldering:
In this step, the thin copper strips used for internal
connectivity are soldered. These copper elements are
regarded as the ‘Heart Beat’ or ‘Life’ of the fuse.
13
F. Spot Welding:
Here, the thin copper strips are actually planted in the
ceramic body of the fuse and welding is done wherever
required.
I. Resistance checking:
A digital Resistance checking instrument is used to denote
the ampere (unit) of each fuse inserted in the instrument’s
plates.
The total testing time of these fuses is 8 hrs.
J. Cleaning:
The fuse parts once checked are cleaned thoroughly to give
a finishing effect.
