NOTIFICATION

Regarding Admissions 2020 at SAU

Under the emergency powers assumed by the Acting President under Rule 5.2.6, in
view of the emergency created by COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown, and in
continuation of the decisions taken in the Emergent Meeting of Deans and
Chairpersons on 7 May 2020, followed by the meetings of the Central Admission
Committee on 04.07.2020 and 20.07.2020, the following is notified:

1. The dates of the Entrance Test have been shifted from 5-6 August 2020 to 12-
13 August 2020.

2. There will be no face-to-face teaching for new entrants in this semester and
they will not be required to report at the SAU campus on admission.

3. Candidates whose results of the qualifying degree have not been declared
can provisionally take admission after paying their fees. However, their
registration will take place only after their results are declared and they have
secured the minimum required percentage of marks or an equivalent grade as
stated in the eligibility criteria of the University. In case a student does not
have the required percentage of marks or an equivalent grade for admission
after declaration of the result of the qualifying degree, her/his admission will
be cancelled and s/he will be eligible for full refund of fees. Students who
have secured the required percentage of marks or an equivalent grade but
still want to cancel their admission will only be eligible for refund of security
deposit.
4. Registration for the Second Semester will be done only for those students
whose results have been submitted to the University and who have secured
the required percentage of marks or an equivalent grade for admission.

5. Since students are not expected to report at the SAU campus this semester,
those who qualify for any SAU Scholarship will only be eligible for remission of
fees and that also only if their results have been declared and they fulfil the
minimum eligibility criteria of the University. All other students will have to pay
the full fee to register. Once their results are declared and if they fulfil the
minimum requirements, students eligible for scholarships will be given
remission of fees and the amount already paid by them will be reimbursed.
