4.4 Provisioning the F625 VoIP Service

Short Description
Perform this procedure to provision the F625 VoIP service.

Prerequisites
Before this operation, make sure that:

l You have logged in to the NetNumen N31 NMS.

l The in-band NM and route are configured.
l The ZXA10 C220 communicates with the NMS properly.

Short Description
The Delete Temp File tool is used to delete the temporary files that are created when the
NetNumen N31 program is run. The NetNumen N31 program returns to the initial status
after the temporary files are deleted.

Application Scenario
Use the Delete Temp File tool in the following application scenarios:
l The NetNumen N31 configuration file is modified due to the customized requirement.
l Large number of temporary files are copied to the destination directory when the
NetNumen N31 Client program is copied and installed.

7.3 External NE Link Polling Tool (LinkPoll)

Short Description
The NetNumen N31 system provides LinkPoll for NE link polling. LinkPoll is an NE link
polling tool, which totally independent of the NetNumen N31 system. When LinkPoll polls
that an NE link is broken, it sends an internal message to the NetNumen N31 Server. The
NetNumen N31 Server reports the alarm that the link is broken.

Application Scenario
When the quantity of NEs that the NetNumen N31 Server manages exceeds 5,000, the
internal NE link polling tool cannot satisfy the polling requirement. The external NE link
polling tool (LinkPoll) is used.

Note:

LinkPoll reports different alarms to OLT NE and ONU NE.

l Alarm that LinkPoll reports to OLT NE: The link communicating with OLT is broken.
l Alarm that LinkPoll reports to ONU NE: The link communicating with ONU is broken.

7.4 Modify ONU Names In Batch Tool

Short Description
The Modify ONU Names In Batch tool is used to modify ONU names in batch.

Application Scenario
You can use the Modify ONU Names In Batch tool to modify ONU names in batch when
there are many ONUs in the network and it is necessary to name the ONUs according to
a naming rule.

Steps
1. Open the directory .\netnumen\tools\datamigrate\bin\, which is the
installation directory of the NetNumen N31 system.
2. Run the batch file runDataExport.bat to export the NE data, as shown in Figure
7-3.

7.5 Fast Back Up and Restore NetNumen N31 Data Tool

Short Description
A tool that is used to back up and restore NetNumen N31 configuration data fast has been
developed for the NetNumen N31 unified management system (T010 version later). At
present, the tool is used to back up and restore NE data, topology data, and authority
data.

Application Scenario
Use the Fast Back Up and Restore NetNumen N31 Data tool to back up the NetNumen
N31 configuration data before updating the NetNumen N31 system. Use the tool to restore
the configuration data after update.

Steps
1. Open the directory .\netnumen\tools\resBackupUtil\.
2. Run the batch file resBackup.bat. Figure 7-7 shows the window.
