SECURITY FEATURES OF 200 TAKA DENOMINATION


COMMEMORATIVE BANK NOTE

Front Side of the Note Back Side of the Note


1. The size of this note is 146×63 mm duly signed by Mr. Fazle Kabir, Governor, Bangladesh
Bank.
2. This note is printed on highly durable and environment friendly 100% Cotton Paper.
3. This note contains the following watermarks:
- The Portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation;
- Numerical ‘200’ as very bright electrotype watermark just below the portrait;
- Bangladesh Bank’s logo on the left side of the portrait which is brighter than the
portrait.
4. This note contains the following things in intaglio ink which are felt rough when rubbed by
finger:
- Eight parallel horizontal straight lines in the right hand side,
- Portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the
left hand side of both front and back side of the note,
- Three small triangulars at the right hand side for the blind to recognize the note,
- "BANGLADESH BANK" is vertically printed in the left hand side,
- Occasion of Printing of the note, BANGLADESH BANK, Note denomination,
Guarantee Clause and other relevant texts of the middle portion of the front side

- Picture of riverbank view of back side of the note.
5. The color of the denomination ‘200’ printed with SPARK(Optically Variable Magnetic Ink)
in the upper right hand side will shift from golden to green and vice versa and there is a
rolling bar movement in the event of oscillation of the note.
6. The note has a 4mm color shifting holographic security thread embedded on the left side of
the note. The thread appears at intervals on the surface of the note but when held up to the
light, a solid line can be seen with the Bangla text ‘200 UvKvÕ and 'Bangladesh Bank’s logo'.
When you tilt the banknote and look at the thread, you will see that it changes from red to
green with moving rainbow colors.
7. Denomination ‘200’ printed latently in the lower border will be found if the note is hold
horizontally.
8. There is also a 'See through' mark that will be seen to complete when the note is held up to
the light.
9. Repeated microprints of the text ‘BANGLADESH BANK’ can be seen in background
design of Bangla text 'evsjv‡`k e¨vsK' in the front side of the note and microprints of '200' can

be seen in the two border side design (left side and right side) and bottom side design in the
back side of the note. These microprints can only be seen with the help of a magnifying
glass.
10. The note contains numerous invisible fiber in red, green and yellow color which can be seen
through UV(Ultra Violet) light.
11. There is a UV Curing Varnish coated on the note to make the note glossy, hard to write on
the note and to increase the lifetime of the note.
