Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Daniel De Lima Dias, and I am writing to express my interest in xxx.

At the age of 16, I participated in a selective entrance exam to a high quality high school in
Etec Getúlio Vargas, with an integrated technical programm. Having passed, I went through
the Technical school, where I eventually successfully graduated and acquired my Industrial
Automation diploma.

Soon after, I took the National High School Exam (ENEM) in Brazil, where I managed to
achieve a very high score, allowing me to compete for a number of high standard Brazilian
universities, as well as three Business Management colleges in Portugal. Hence, at the age of
18, I moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where I decided my bachelor's degree at the University of
Portugal in Business Management. There, in search of an opportunity in the job market in order
to sustain myself financially, I began teaching English to students at my university. However,
observing the high demand for English schools in the area, I decided it was appropriate for me
to look into starting my own business, where I would offer Portuguese taught English courses.

Based on a lot of research and planning, and keeping in mind the high risk and challenge I was
about to embrace, in the period of mid-November 2019, at the age of 19, I opened my company
called Run Up English for Adults - a school focused on English language development for
adults. Shortly after, I obtained great results from the active commercial area, hence
significantly motivating me to further invest in the school.

However, my enthusiasm was quickly shattered as, in February 2020, the world was faced with
a global pandemic. Looking for ways to prevent my business from financially declining, I
opened an online course which, for my surprise, allowed for a great expansion by reaching
significantly more students.

Today, present in several countries in Europe, with qualified teachers, I can gladly say Run Up
for Adults is now greatly integrated in the European market, offering a product with high
quality and cost benefit internationally.

I currently manage the company through digital platforms, giving me great flexibility and a
holistic analysis of company data.

I have also concluded since then a course on capital marketing, which granted me with a solid
base in the field of international trade. For instance, it gave me an in depth understanding of
the process of selling and buying of stocks. Additionally, I have concluded an online course of
Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies provided by the Harvard Business School, which
helped me develop my administrative and leading skills.

As a teenager, I have always enjoyed swimming, and have participated in various competitions
during middle and high school – though nowadays I prefer running in the open air. Reading is
an integrated necessity in my routine, as I believe it allows me to expand my knowledge and
understanding within a shorter period of time. In addition, I also play and teach Cello in a
Christian Congregation, which has the largest orchestra in the world.

As a results of the previously mentioned experiences, I have developed excellent skills in

communication and negotiation, time management strategic thinking, leadership, as well as
teamwork.
I am highly motivated, and, through this application, I seek to further explore my potential
develop my professional character, simultaneously expanding my knowledge and
understanding in the business area.
