RULES AND REGULATIONS
(1) Regularity:
(a) A child may not remain absent on any working day
during the term without a proper and adequate
reason. If a child is obliged to remain absent of his/
herself, the guardian shall take previous permlsslon
in writing from the Co-ordinator. In an extreme case
of emergency, an intimatlon in writing shall be given
as soon as possible. The child is then expected to
produce her guardian’s letter when he/she appears
at Shreyas again.
(b) A child cannot be recalled home during Shreyas
working hours.
(c) The Co-ordinator may decide to expel a child from
attending Shreyas on grounds of repeated absence
and irregularity.
(d) In the case of an infectious disease, the guardian
shall immediately intimate the fact to the Co-
ordinator. The child in such condition may not
attend Shreyas as long as advised by a Registered
Medical Practitioner and thereafter if necessary the
Shreyas Medical Officer.
(2) Punctuality:
(a) The child should reach at least 5 minutes before
the school hours. The child arriving late will not be
allowed to enter the premises.
(b) The child should be picked up from the entrance
gate within 15 minutes of Shreyas closing time.
(3) Accompanying child to Shreyas :
No person may be sent to remain with the child and look
after her at Shreyas without the written permission of
the Principal. Those permitted to do so should stay at
the appointed place only.
(4) Dress : (Activity dress)
(a) A child should come to Shreyas in dress as
prescribed by Shreyas that may not hamper free
movements and can be put on by him/herself
unaided.
(b) On specified days a child has to come in the dress
prescribed by Shreyas that is suitable for the
occasion.
• For swimming a costume and towel to be brought
in a separate bag. Chlldren with long hair should
wear a swimming cap.
(c) A child may not wear or bring any valuables to
Shreyas.
Fees once paid are not refundable.
(5) Food :
The child should bring tiffin or snacks from home
that should be sufficient in quantity and nourishing,
- fresh and not fried (chapatti, jaggery, chana,
groundnut, sprouted pulse, vegetable and fruits, etc.)
(6) Educational requisites, material and equipment :
For music, art and crafts, science and sports almost
all such materials are provided by Shreyas.
(7) Adherence to instructions :
Guardians are required to follow suggestions made
by Shreyas pertaining to study, recreation, rest, diet
and formative habits for the child.
(8) Tuitions :
A child is not allowed to have private tuitions at home
or in tuition class. No parent is allowed to engage
any Shreyas member for private and personal work.
In exceptional cases this rule will be made flexible
on written request from the parents, granted by a
written permission from Shreyas.
(9) Punishment :
Physical punishment and abusive language to a child,
whether in Shreyas or outside is prohibited.
(10) In the event of failure t o cooperate and to carry out
instructions given by Shreyas at home, Shreyas will
be obliged to discontinue or expel the child.
(11) In the event of any person or any member of the
family of the child, by his behaviour or action,
agitates and creates any disturbance in the
atmosphere of Shreyas, the Foundation will expel
immediately their child from Shreyas without giving
any reason. The decision to do so will entirely rest
with Foundation and shall be final.
(12) General tone and arrangement :
The Shreyas environment and arrangements are
based on Indian culture, dress, sanskara, simplicity,
co-operation, respect and interdependence - these
values must be acceptable to the parents.

Shreyas.
