Dear Community Members & Supporters,
The Ithaca Police Benevolent Association received the draft proposal regarding reimagining public safety in the
City of Ithaca when same was released to the public yesterday at 4:00 PM.
The Executive Board and our Membership are open to reform but are also deeply concemed by the contents of
the draft proposal, We are currently conducting a thorough review of the entire 98 page document and
associated attachments to determine what the long term implications will be on overall public safety in the City
of Ithaca and what the impacts will be on our Membership.
‘There are many upcoming opportunities for public comment in the near future and we encourage your
participation and support.

Meeting on Wednesday, March 3", 2021 at 6:00 PM. Speakers can sign up to voice their concerns through

Please be aware that registration to speak publicly is only open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the day of
each of the above meetings.
