An Interpretive Guide

INTRODUCTION

This guide is designed as an interpretive resource for the Event Temple (EVT)
Session 2 meditation. If studied, it can add to your understanding of the purpose and
process of synchronized, community meditation. We are forming a quantum
community that expresses a collective compassion directed through divine
intelligence (Spirit). It is the underlying purpose of Brightening the Path.

There are words to speak.

Thoughts to think.
Actions to take…
But now, in this Event Temple, we put away
Thoughts and words.

This opening stanza acknowledges our human predisposition to speak, think, and
take action in the everyday affairs of life. We were made for activity, but the work
we are called to do in this EVT session involves inner, subjective action. Therefore,
we set aside the many thoughts that naturally flow through our minds, along with
the trains of words that accompany them.

Actions are our tools

Actions of a divine, intelligent energy
Imagined from our highest nature,
Brought to awareness from our deepest heart.

We are contacting a divine, intelligent energy. We do this through an activation of

our hearts and the imaginations.

The heart is the feeling sensor of our human constitution. The deepest heart refers to
the subtle energies that emanate from the region of our physical heart, and these
energies are frequencies of electromagnetism and photonic light; invisible to the eye.
Just as the physical heart is the center of our human body, the energetic heart is the
center of our spiritual life, and the gateway through which our highest nature reveals
itself.

Our highest nature is a fusion and alignment of our heart, mind, and Spirit, working
cooperatively to empower our imagination to see or envision what is beyond our
experience and even our beliefs. It is the conduit we all share with the Field of Spirit
that encompasses all life and spacetime.

It is all we bring into this temple of our creation.

We enter this Temple, therefore, by setting aside our egos, and fixing our attention
instead on the inner, energetic heart and the imaginative faculty that works through
it. We forge a partnership between our hearts and minds in service to humankind.

Our bodies relax.

Our thoughts still.
Our mouths fall silent.
The divine intelligence within us rises
From the powerful currents of our soul,
Fully aware of its purpose
In this Event Temple.

This can be called the stage of alignment between the human instrument, the soul,
and the divine intelligence. This is the phase where the activities of the human
personality are quieted, and the deeper activity of the heart-mind, the soul, and the
divine intelligence (rising within us) come into activity.

As we compose the ego-personality, the voice of the soul can sound through the
heart. This voice of the soul speaks the language of Spirit’s intelligence and in that
quiet “space” created by our alignment we are able to experience divine intelligence.
This is a sensitivity born of the inner world, not the outer world we experience
through our five senses.

In the beginning of this practice, the soul’s voice may be difficult to detect. However,
with more practice, with more willingness to come within the range of the soul’s
harmonic frequencies, we begin to hear its voice.

We are scattered across the Earth

Our purpose the same:
To brighten the path.

This stanza introduces one of the most important ingredients of effective community
meditation—collective purpose. After acknowledging that we are scattered across the
Earth, we are asked to recognize that our purpose is the same. That purpose is to
brighten the path so that we and all humanity can expand and share the light so we
can move forward with optimism and compassion.

In order to effectively transmit positive spiritual energy, we can all share the same
intention, the same will, and the same purpose. Spiritual purpose is born from an
emerging realization of our responsibility as energetic beings, and this is the power
source that drives purpose into activity. Holding our purpose in mind and heart is
essential to our Event Temple sessions.

We are synchronized
By our souls’ intention.
We bring our gift,
Our divine intelligence,
To the altar of Spirit
And we set it down in love.

In alignment to our soul’s intention, we offer our gift of divine intelligence to Spirit,
and we set it down in love. This is an act of humility which places us in a state that is
profoundly beautiful, for we are at the altar of Spirit—we have entered the heart of
the Temple—and recognize our real connection to Spirit, through the God-fragment
that dwells in us all.

We have completed an act of co-creation. We have raised ourselves in Spirit with the
purpose of brightening the path for ourselves and all humanity by temporarily laying
aside our “normal” state of everyday consciousness and invoking the divine
intelligence.

Love flows from our entire being as we realize that we are consciously engaged in a
permanent relationship with Spirit. Comprehension and realization of our unity with
Spirit instills heartfelt humility.

As one being we repeat the words:

Flow in compassion
Release what is divine
Like cells awakening
We spark the others who walk beside us.
We brighten the path.

At this stage of our meditation we are called to flow in compassion, a phrase worthy
of reflection. Flow is the relaxed, poised expression of our highest nature releasing
with ease the energy of compassion without directing it to this place or that person,
but simply releasing it as a contribution to brightening the path for all.

This stanza also begins our outer-directed activity. Up to this point our attention has
been focused on quieting the ego-personality and aligning heart, mind, and soul to
the divine intelligence. But now our preparatory work is complete and we are ready
to send our Spirit-infused energy to people in need. We do this by releasing what is
divine and in so doing, we are like cells suddenly coming alive with light and love.
Through the heart-mind’s imaginative faculty, we reinforce each other’s awakening
and brighten the path for all. We are co-creating not only with Spirit, but also with
one another.

Flow in compassion
In doing this we are one being
Calling the rays of light
To descend on all.
We brighten the path.

We now draw together as a community of energetic heart-minds, united through our

souls and immersed in ever-present Spirit. We concentrate our desire and our
purpose into an act of spiritual will by which we call the rays of light to descend on
all.

Giving what is endless

To those who believe their end is in sight.
We brighten the path.
We brighten the path.

Keeping in mind the idea of flowing in compassion, we are now asked to bring the
healing power of the soul forward and give it to those in need—in this case to those
who believe their end is in sight. These are members of our human family who see
the physical body and mind as their sole identity, and feel this identity is threatened
by the changing patterns of our complex and fragile-appearing world.

It is important to realize that the healing energy we give to others is endless. The
soul is the healer and its supply of healing love is without end. Our opportunity is to
concentrate our spiritual energies and project them where need can be met.

And now, our cooperative light

Begins to assemble itself
To focus
To intensify.
It fuses and becomes one.
And the winds of Spirit guide this new light
That we co-created
To its purpose and destination:
A child
Brother
Sister
Mother
Father
Grandmother
Grandfather
The human family
The Earth
The universes
Our Creator
All of Us.

We now offer our collective co-creation of compassion to Spirit, which directs it to its
purpose and destination. We don’t know how the divine intelligence performs this
function, but we trust in the process, and we know it will find its destination under
the loving guidance of Spirit to a child, brother, sister, mother, etc.

Here we begin to assemble this lighted compassion, allowing it to build in spiritual

power prior to its release and projection to Spirit for distribution.

What we have created

Circulates within all of us
Forever.

For all to see a little clearer

The next step of their soul’s yearning.

This stanza makes clear that the positive energies we have generated within our
individual selves and our quantum community are never lost. It continues to flow in
and amongst the human family, adding light to the path we all tread.

It may seem a dream or wishful thought

But what we give
Endures,
Echoing in the hearts of all
Like a hologram that passes
From the least to the greatest
And returns again, to begin another cycle…

This stanza takes us two steps further. It states that the spiritual energy we have
passed on to others endures within them as well—it is a gift from us to them.

Further, these spiritual energies are not static—they circulate. The energy returns
again, to begin another cycle…

This divine circulatory flow can be seen as an ascending spiral of spiritual energy that
builds up in the human family, further accelerating our reach into the spiritual realms
that beckon us; realms that invoke our innate spiritual character.

As we complete this Event Temple

Give your co-participants,

Important Points and Suggestions for Your Consideration

1. The first point involves continuity of practice. It is useful to perform this

meditation on a continuing basis. A sustained effort by a committed community of
individuals can overcome the tremendous negative emotional currents of
hopelessness and suffering afflicting large portions of our human family.

We don’t recommend that you to go to extremes in your practice, but that you
create a balanced schedule of practice that fits into your busy life. A steady,
balanced, and dedicated commitment is something that only the individual can
determine.

2. We recommend that you memorize three stanzas from the meditation. These
might be likened to affirmations of our dedication to our growing community and to
all humanity. They are:

• To spark the others who walk beside us.

• To acknowledge our assembly as one being as we call the rays of light to

descend on all.

• To bring healing to those who believe their end is in sight.

Collectively, these three stanzas are ultimately calling us to brighten the path by
inspiring one another, invoking light for all, and bringing healing to those in need.

Here are the three stanzas:

3. Our final suggestion is to encourage you to download the video and/or audio EVT
Session 2 and use it whenever you feel the call. [See the Downloads page on the
EventTemple.org website.]

You then have the option of playing it at the scheduled times without having to be at
your computer. For instance, you could perform the meditation via an MP3 player or
home stereo.

Additionally, by downloading the video and/or audio you have the opportunity to
share this meditation with a group. For instance, you might consider projecting the
video on a screen or simply playing the video through your computer or television.

In other words, we want you to perform the meditation as often as you wish and as
conveniently as you wish, either through direct scheduled, or even non-scheduled
online computer sessions, offline scheduled sessions, or offline non-scheduled
sessions alone or with a group—audio or video. You might also want to sit quietly
and read the meditation as a way of making your inner connection.
