Problem 3
The piston rod of a double-acting cylinder is to extend when the momentary contact
switches S1 and S2 are actuated at the same time. The piston rod retracts when the one or
both switches are released. Draw the electro-pneumatic circuit.

Problem 5:
The piston rod of a double-acting cylinder is to extend fully forward when a
momentary contact switch S1 is actuated momentarily. When the piston rod has fully
extended a roller operated switch S2 is actuated and the piston rod retracts automatically.
Draw the electro-pneumatic circuit with a 5/2 way double solenoid valve as final control
element.

Problem 6
The piston rod of a double-acting cylinder is to extend fully forward when a
momentary contact switch S1 is actuated momentarily. The piston rod retracts when a
momentary contact switch S2 is actuated. Draw the electro-pneumatic circuit diagram. Use
a 5/2way valve single solenoid as a final control element.
