1 What are best information you gathered from the autobiography of GDJ and Video-biography
of GDJ?
The best information that I have gathered about Gregoria De Jesus is how important she
was for the KKK and for her husband, Andres Bonifacio. The autobiography and video-
biography stated and showed that she is a vital member of the KKK. The fact that she was
entrusted to keep the important documents and seals during the revolution days, means that KKK
members knew that she was worthy of their trust, this was proven after she showed how
dedicated she was in serving the KKK and fighting for her beloved country. The autobiography
and the video-biography of Gregoria De Jesus also give me knowledge on how brave and strong
she was. She stayed by her husband’s side through those hardships until the end. Despite the loss
of her husband, she rose again and lived. She became the symbol of strength for women during
that time. Those life challenges she had gone through are not for some ordinary person. Gregoria
De Jesus is truly one of a kind.

Autobiography is a written document that expresses the life of the writer itself. It is
written in first person and it is based on author’s experiences. Autobiography’s main purpose is
to express and inform. The video-biography however, is a video that portrays the life of someone
else’s story. It is presented in third person and it is based on how the video-creator understands
his sources of reference. Video-biography’s main purpose is to inform its audience in a creative
way.
3 Point out the strengths and weaknesses of the autobiography and Video-biography.
One of the strengths of reading or using autobiography is it is based on the author itself
which is your subject or the one you are referring to. It also contains additional information and
it gives you idea on how the author feels in some parts of the story. However, due to those
additional details, you really must invest time for reading it. Those additional details could also
confuse you and make you lose focus on the main subject. And because the autobiography is
based on the author itself, he/she could include doubtful details to the document, which would
alter facts if it is undetected.
The main strength of the video-biography is the way it portrays the biography, using a
video gives you a lot of opportunity to be creative as you want. Visuals make these details
interesting and engaging for most audience. Video-biography could also be short, focusing only
to the subject matter and only including important notes. However, as its weaknesses, video-
biography could portray wrong information as it is only based on the understanding of the
creator. It could also be a distraction for some and creating video-biography could also be
expensive.
4. Which is the Primary Source and Secondary or Tertiary Source between the Autobiography
and Video-biography?
Autobiography is used as a primary source of history. It is from the author itself which is
the one who witnessed the history he writes on his autobiography. When the sources come from
the one who experienced or witnessed the events, it is considered as the primary source. The
video-biography could either be secondary source or tertiary source, depending on where does
the references came from. A video-biography is only a documentation that reenacts or relive the
life of the chosen subject created by someone who only read the autobiography or biography and
did not write the document itself. Thus, it could be considered as secondary source or a tertiary
source.
5 Which of the two is more reliable and why?
Autobiography is based on the author which is your subject. Therefore, it is more reliable
because it is the main source of information about your subject which is also where the
autobiography came from giving more validation on the details. The thing that made the video-
biography less reliable is the possibility of the video-creator misinterpreting the source of
information. This would cause the spread of wrong details and confusion among audiences.
