With the advancement of civilization the life of man has signed in mobility. When people move from one place
to another, they carry some languages with them. We have porters and luggage carriers made available at the
railway stations and airports.
Sometimes the hiring of the services of a porter is not advisable, and sometimes the luggage carrier is not available. In such circumstances
people have to face a great problem. They can neither abandon their goods nor carry them.
The only factor that can limit the scope of the proposed machine is that since it’s a portable device, it will have its limitations in terms of size and
capacity.
2. WORK PROPOSED:
2.1 Description of the project:
The portable luggage carrier is to be a system that can move some load without causing any inconvenience. It is to be developed on
the following two lines:
(i) The material used should be light (ii) The design should be folding
2.2 Methodology:
The project work will be distributed among the following three units as:
(i) The Design Unit: It will work on the development of a proper design in accordance with the needs
described.
(ii) The Material Unit: It will make experiments to decide which material will be most suitable to retain
the lightness of the Portable Porter.
(iii) The Coordination Unit: It will maintain a link between the above two units.
2.3 Significance:
The project assumes significance in the context of its human and economic benefits. Economically too the project is not only viable
but also profitable.
3. MANAGEMENT:
3.1 Facilities Available: A well equipped workshop at Asheesh Manufacturing Works, Kanpur exists. Power and
water supply is adequate.
3.2 Facilities Required: Manpower requirements will consist of two skilled and five semi-skilled technical
personnel.
