The Client

Our client hails from Sydney, Australia and is a specialist of website and
graphic designing realm. Besides having a greatly celebrated status in
website and graphic designing, their expert services span out to include
search engine advertising, flash design, and website hosting. It was sheer
pride for us to have an opportunity to work with such an illustrious client.

Requirements

Our client essentially wanted us to develop an intranet portal for his

business. However, even with a simple requirement like this, we decided to
break it down into two parts to establish a clear understanding.

Frontend Requirements

 The client wanted the intranet to facilitate faster document search

based on document name or text.
 The intranet should allow the users to view documents as HTML pages.

Backend Requirements

 The intranet should have user management functionality on the

backend.
 The backend should be able to manage jewelry category and sub-
category.
 The backend should facilitate creation and upload of HTML documents
for each category and sub-category.
 The backend should be able to upload files or images and links with
created documents.

Radix Approach

Once the client requirements were properly gathered and listed out the
Radix team undertook an in-depth analysis of the same. Before developing
the intranet, we studied the client’s business domain and his internal
processes. We documented every minute detail to establish a process flow
and the different points of access to information. Based on this
understanding we undertook the development process.

The Solution

From the very beginning, our client was pretty clear that they wanted a
system that could be aligned with their business goals and vision. They
wanted the system to make access to information faster and easier. Radix
developed a solution that met all these requirements. The Radix solution is
marked by the following features:

 The intranet system helped the client to streamline all their disparate
business processes and connect them in an integrated manner.
 The system offers highly simple and easy to use information
management functionality.
 The intranet facilitates quick search of documentation based on
document name and text, as demanded by the client.
 The system also offers documents in the form of HTML page.
 The backend admin gets complete management control over the users
of the system.
 The backend admin can add categories and sub-categories of jewelry
and manage them.
 The solution further allows the system users to upload files, images,
and HTML documentation.

Star Features

While all the Radix solutions are developed in such a way that they meet the

The Wrap Up

This project allowed Radix to venture into the field of intranet portals and
internal information management systems. It gave us a new perspective on

approached and accessed. We consider this project to be a precious learning
