Micah 4:6-7
In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that HALTETH, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have AFFLICTED; And I will make her that HALTETH a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall REIGN over them in MOUNT ZION from henceforth, even for ever.

"In that day" is a reference to the arrival of salvation and the KINGDOM. God would assemble her that HALTETH, and gather her that was DRIVEN OUT, and AFFLICTED. This is a description of Israel under judgment for broken covenant. Halteth is the Hebrew word tsala meaning to limp or be lame. It is interesting that Christ healed the LAME, for this was a physical picture of the spiritual condition of the people.

Matthew 11:5
The blind receive their sight, and the LAME WALK, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Matthew 15:30
And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were LAME, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

Matthew 21:14
And the blind and the LAME came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

God would bring the lame, the driven out, and the afflicted to mount Zion and REIGN over them. Mount Zion is the CHURCH!

Hebrews 12:22-23
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, This is the interesting thing about the KINGDOM. The KINGDOM of God invites those who ordinarily would not be invited. Jesus made this statement:

Luke 14:13
But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the LAME, the blind:

This is exactly what Jesus does, He invites the lame to the Messianic Banquet in Zion. David found Mephibosheth, the son of his covenant friend Jonathan, and brought him to Jerusalem to sit at his table. Mephibosheth was LAME, and yet he found a place at the king's table. This is the picture of the KINGDOM. Those who have been crippled in life can find healing and restoration in the KINGDOM. 2 Samuel 4:4
And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was LAME of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

2 Samuel 9:11
Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
