Preamble

The attack on Maernag by the Foul is investigated...

Kalto Storm1 is recruited by the King (and his advisors)2 to help press back the Foul3 – who have been
gathering in larger, more dangerous numbers – and to find out who or what is behind it.

Kalto makes his way to a crumbling ruin of a temple in the mountains having heard rumours of a Foul
base, with the help of an international underground organisation4 he fights a Foul lieutenant5 , not before
finding out that there is structure to their society and some kind of leader.

Returning to his country, Kalto is captured and prepared to be turned over to a mysterious traveller6 . If
the King and his advisors hand over the one who defeated his lieutenants he will spare their country.
Kalto escapes, when the traveller finds out, he destroys the castle7 . Kalto rejoins the IUO to track the
Foul leader.

The Foul are gathering at the western dragon's8 library9 as their leader creates a gigantic construct
around himself to attack the dragon continent. The humans decide to defeat him because once he's
finished with the dragons nothing stops him from just blowing them off the world either.

Inside the library they discover a magicopter from the lathliatans10 , Kalto can activate it, so he flies it
up into the Foul's battle fortress and fights the Foul leader. They manage to set the place on course for
harmlessly crashing into the sea but have to leap out without a hope only to be saved by passing
dragons. The story continues, but only after this first part finishes.

\Most gameplay takes place between 1-2 and 3-4.

This is simply an example of mission progression, the actual game may be totally different:

Main mission is “Force back the Foul”.

Step 1: Find a weakpoint.

 Maernag: Attacked City

o Gather intel (which points you to the Hermit)
o Find and contact the Hermit (a recluse dragon who informs you
that the Foul can form command structure around Lieutenants and
a Leader who asserts his magical strength)
Step 2: Track and confront the Lieutenants (a set of missions completable in any order)

 Cloven Forest (called so because the temperate forest and the more wild jungle
are split by a river/ravine)
o Make your way to the gorge
o Sneak into the fortress (stealth, yay!, of course done tastefully)
o Defeat the Twisted Foul (perhaps a Foul who uses plant-based
magic attacks)
 High Peak: The Monastery

Contact the International Underground Organisation in the Crang11 capital

o Break into the undeveloped caverns (encounter with the monster

that chases you)
o Take the north pass to the Monastery
o Defeat the Pious Foul (perhaps a Foul whose attacks are rock or
ice magic)
 Dune: The Shifting Sands

A fire and sand based mission in the desert where the Oberaw12 roam.

This is while you are in the employ of your King, but when they betray you and the castle is destroyed
by the Leader you join the International Underground Organisation (obviously not the real name) to
find where the Foul are gathering. These missions, who knows?
