Second Call for Papers
The 8th European Conference on Magnetic Sensors and Actuators (EMSA2010)
will be held at the “Nurol Cultural Centre” in Bodrum, Turkey. It was first
held in 1996 in Iasi–Romania and since then has continued every two years in
Sheffield–UK, Dresden–Germany, Athens–Greece, Cardiff-UK, Bilbao-Spain
and Caen-France.
The aim of the 8th European Conference on Magnetic Sensors and Actuators
(EMSA2010) is to generate an overview of research in magnetic sensors and
actuators, to recognise their relevance in modern industry and to identify
potential future collaborations.
EMSA 2010 provides an excellent opportunity to bring together scientists and
engineers from universities, research institutes and industry to present and
discuss their most recent results covering both fundamental and applied aspects
of magnetic sensors and actuators. Although special emphasis will be placed on
sensors and actuators, there will be sessions in the program focusing on the
universal aspects of industrial applications and nanotechnology, independently
of its origin. The scientific program of the 3-day Conference will consist of
several talks by keynote speakers and contributed talks, organized along
thematic session.
Topics of the Conference
 Materials
 Physical phenomena
 Modelling and simulation
 Magnetic sensors - concepts, design and applications
 Magnetic actuators - concepts, design and applications
 Magnetic MEMS
 Nanotechnology and Miniaturisation
 Integration
 Medical Applications
Abstract Book
The language of the Conference is English. Authors are invited to send a one
page, short contribution to the Abstract Book. Abstracts should be prepared
according to EMSA 2010 Abstract Template. The accepted papers will be
presented in oral or poster sessions at the Conference.
Full Publication
The full version of the papers will be published in a special volume of Sensors
Letters, after a regular review process.
