Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure during which breast implants are ins
erted. You will choose the size and type: saline or silicone, during your consul
tation. Depending on your body structure and your desired outcome, Dr. Schlesing
er will help you to choose the best breast implant for you. The type and size of
implants you choose will also help him to determine the location for the incisi
on he will make during the surgery and whether to put the implants over or under
your chest muscles.
You will be given anesthesia so that you can "sleep" during the procedure. Dr. S
chlesinger will make hidden incisions in areas determined during your consultati
on. The location of the incisions are very patient-specific: the incisions might
be made in the armpits, or around the colored part (areola) surrounding your ni

The implants are inserted on your chest wall normally behind your chest muscle.
