INTRODUCTION

Autonomous Vehicles are widely anticipated to alleviate road congestion through higher
throughput, improve road safety by eliminating human error, and free drivers from the burden of
driving, allowing greater productivity and free of time .

In the Past a lot of costs have been served over this project since 1918 when for
the first time this incident took place. As research in the field of autonomous vehicles has
matured, a wide variety of impressive demonstrations have been made on full-scale vehicle
platforms. Autonomous driving on urban roads has seen tremendous progress in recent years.

Driving in urban environments has been of great interest to researchers due in part
to the high density of vehicles and various areas where specific rules that must be obeyed. Since
this project relates to the Video Segmentation which shows the most importance of this project
like the partitioning of objects simultaneously and , Most of the Researchers have said that
partitioning of objects basically relates to subtracting the foreground from the background pixels
that we would discuss further more

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this project

 Computer Vision for getting video pixels details

 Video segmentation making the different objects labeled and identify them
 Localization, perception , planning and control for the car

OUTCOME
2
The output of this project will

 Autonomous cars will change the system of transportation

 Autonomous cars will find their path easily
 These cars will avoid collision
 Autonomous car can identify each object through segmentation

Final Deliverable of the Project:

 HW/SW integrated system

Benefit of the project

There are Direct Beneficiaries such as

1. For Company OR Organization
2. Human being belonging to urban areas

Consider the In Direct Beneficiaries

1. Blood bank For Automatic dispatch of blood from one side to another

BACKGROUND/LITERATURE REVIEW

Autonomous Cars can be referred to as the driverless cars, these cars can have the more pros
instead of cons such as it can reduce the road accident, increase the road efficiency and has the
positive impact on the environment. But for the past few years there have been many researches
took place in this field almost 19 universities in the Europe have took part in this and in the year
1995 there was once a successful milestone was achieved.

It is very much successful in urban traffic; this

project will work on the identification, localization, tracking, understanding the scenes as well as
end to end learning. The Autonomous Vehicles have some of the three major competencies such
as Perception, Planning and Control

3
Perception refers to as the ability to collect the Information and
then extracts the relevant Knowledge related to that , where as planning refers to as the ability to
make the best or the purposeful decision finally the control competency is referred to as when the
result is found by combining two search results

PROJECT METHODOLOGY

There are four major methodology that we are going to implement in terms of
autonomous vehicle rather it would increase more these methodology includes , Finding the best
routes for the vehicle, detecting the collision , collision avoiding if occurs, and Alarming The
Vehicle.
Now if we consider the block diagram than the the implementation includes a camera that
would send the captured video to the ->Video Receiver which the includes the concept of the
computer vision which obviously requires the amount of memory which is being connected
through a particular network (WIFI) with the database where it records each frame and retrieves
the Information
Further The Computer Vision Sends the Retrieved knowledge to the Decision System and
then to the Control Unit which Further breaks in to sub programs such as (Landing Gear, Speed
Control and Motor Control)
