риала, а именно: прочность сохранения слов в памяти и скорость их
воспроизведения в процессе языкового общения. Необходимую сте
пень интеллектуальной напряженности создают используемые в посо¬
бии идиомы, юмористические рассказы, пословицы и поговорки, увле¬
кательные рисунки известнейшего датского художника X. Бидструпа.
Вербальный и визуальный материал упражнений создает как эмоцио¬
нальную вовлеченность в процесс усвоения нового лексического мате¬
риала, так и отражает частоту встречаемости слов, к которым можно
подобрать их омофоны.
В каждом из упражнений отмечается, на активизацию и развитие
каких психологических ресурсов оно в основном направлено: Attention
(внимание), Imagination (воображение), Memory (память), Social Skills
(коммуникативные навыки), Thinking (мышление), Understanding (по¬
нимание).
ПОИСК с л о в
В разделе «Homophones in Exercises» в алфавитном порядке рас¬
полагаются слова левого столбца, а в крайнем правом столбце даны их
омофоны. Транскрипция на пары/группы омофонов приведена в сере¬
дине страницы.
Для быстрого поиска омофонов по правому столбцу следует обра
титься к разделу «Appendix 1», где эти слова представлены в алфавит
ном порядке в первом столбце. В разделе «Appendix 2» омофоны раз
биты на группы, каждая из которых объединена по признаку измене¬
ния написания пары омофонов.
Пословицы, поговорки, юмористические рассказы (Appendix 1) и
упражнения (Appendix 2) способствуют активизации и закреплению
омофонов в памяти.
