Iterative Procedure:
o The value of Ch obtained from the linear plot (X1, Y1) coupled with the initial guess value of “p” is
used to obtain a logarithmic plot as delineated by the logarithmically modified version of the
basic relation
o The gradient of the logarithmic equation is the root, or the iterated value of p
o Reinsert the gradient ‘p’ obtained from the second plot (X 2, Y2) into Equation (1) to get a new
value of ‘p’ in the second plot. Now this value is closer to the solution (i.e. converging) as can be
seen clearly from the spread of the line about the points or the R value
o Repeat this procedure until the difference tends to a value smaller than the error i.e. converges
o The value of “p” converges to a solution after performing several iterations for the assumed
data
