    Jose Rizal, how he turned into our Public Legend, how


    he composed the books that propelled the Philippine transformation, and so on

    Allow me to address your inquiry from my point of view, which depends on Rizal's
    statement, "Why autonomy, if the captives of today will be the despots of tomorrow?"
