Execute the following command to generate your instance specific installation
instructions
1. Source the Applications environment file
2. Run the Patch Application Assistant by entering "admsi.pl".

Preparation Tasks

1. Required Code levels

This patch requires additional code levels to have been successfully
applied to your system before it can be applied. These code levels,
as at the time that this patch was built, are listed below. Please check
'My Oracle Support' to determine if any of these have been superseded

* R12.ATG_PF.A.delta.6
* R12.HR_PF.A.delta.6

Apply The Patch

1. Apply patch
This patch contains the following unified driver file to be applied with
AutoPatch:
u10159401.drv (This is the unified driver)
Post-install Tasks
==============================================================================
You must complete the tasks in this section before starting up Application
tier services.

1. Latest legislation data update (Hrglobal installation)

This patch is different from all other statutory updates as it
includes all hrglobal changes and any prerequisites.
You do not need to download the latest hrglobal patch, but MUST run
DataInstall and hrglobal.drv after applying this patch to load
the statutory content.
DataInstall is run as follows:
java oracle.apps.per.DataInstall [apps_un] [apps_pw] thin [connection]
with [connection] in form: hostname:dbport:oraclesid
Legislative selections should include Global and the list of applicable
legislations for installation.
For applying hrglobal.drv:
Apply $PER_TOP/patch/115/driver/hrglobal.drv to the database tier.
Once completed you have successfully installed your legislative HRMS
data.

2. This patch contains version 2.9.8 of Vertex Payroll Tax Q Series (Quantum)
Libraries. Upgrading to Quantum 2.9.8 is not mandatory if you are already
using Quantum 2.9.7 . The instructions for installing Quantum libraries
and data are available on My Oracle Support in knowledge document
224273.1 :Installing Quantum for Oracle Payroll.
It is highly recommended that you keep up-to-date with the latest
Quantum versions to ensure compliance with the current tax laws.
3. The 2010 Annual Geocode Patch (9879190:R12.PAY.A) is included in this
End of Year 2010 Phase 1 patch. If you have not already applied one off
patch 9879190:R12.PAY.A, you will need to run the Geocode Upgrade Manager
concurrent program after applying this patch.

4. The Q3 2010 Statutory Update (patch 10066317:R12.PAY.A) is already
included in this patch so you do NOT need to apply the Q3 2010 Statutory

for R12 available on My Oracle Support in knowledge document 1214214.1
