As a result of online trend, the pretty old business of connecting people
also needs to go online and there arise the need for a powerful web
application to accomplish this easy, but risky task. “Oasis” is used to create
social network.
A virtual community or online community is a group of people that

primarily or initially communicate or interact them via the Internet, rather
than face to face. Online communities have also become a supplemental
form of communication between people who know each other in real life.
This is a "Computer-mediated community" (CMC) which uses social software
to regulate the activities of participants.
The document has been submitted for a full fledged web application that
helps one to find out a chain of friends from a large database of persons
around the world.
“Oasis” is an online community which helps people connect .It is the
best way to expand ones social network. “Oasis” acts as a platform to share
the common interests and ideas.
The network can maintain your existing relationship and establish new
ones with those whom you have never met before.

This document describes the requirements of the system to be developed.
It is meant for use by developer and will also be the basis for validating the
final delivered system. Any
change made to requirements in future will have to undergo a formal change
approval process. The developer responsible for asking for clarifications, when
necessary and will not make any alterations without the permission of the client.
One of the main contributions of the 20th century is Computer. Computers have
become a way of life for today’s high tech society. Many concepts of modern society
that we have come to accept as common place would not be possible if there are no
computers. Today computers have used extensively in many areas of business,
industry,
banking, education and other day-to-day activities. It optimizes feature stock and it has
personality called and impersonal, sinister and scheming.
Now a days the emerging trends shows that internet is more and more important in
the cyber based world. “Oasis” is an online virtual communication in which the use
of Internet has exploded in the area of Internet Commerce. “Oasis” is an online
friends group which helps people connect .It is the best way to expand ones social
network. Sparks acts as a platform to share the common interests and ideas. The
network can maintain your existing relationship and establish new ones with those
whom you have never met before.
The proposed system is designed to overcome the problems in the old

system and is streamlined to deliver optimum performance while keeping
simplicity. It is planned to be much cheaper and faster than the
conventional system.
The software has been developed using the most powerful and secure
backend SQL Server and the most widely used web programming
language ASP.net as Front end. Structured query language has been used
for inserting, retrieving and manipulating all necessary data contained in
the various tables. The project work has been carried out at of “Oasis”.
REALLY SIMPLE SYNDICATION SYSTEM
RSS –Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication is one of the

recent system created to distribute information through the internet.
Users can receive the latest news or updated news and events in the very
moment they are issued. Companies can use this software for distribute
their news over internet or intranet. It allows users to keep up-to-date
news with changes to their favorite websites without having to visit each
one individually. This updated news can be viewed by simply clicking on
the RSS icon.
The different modules for the project are,

1. ADMINISTRATION:
The administration section is reserved for the
administrator of the site. The section deals with the management of the
data received through the site and the efficient transferring and updating
of data to be displayed in the site. Administration handles job schedule
of reporters, assign reporters to specific areas, handles advertiseme-
nts ,categories news , view reported news, publish relevant news, manage
headlines to be published and image libraries.
2. NEWS MANAGEMENT:
This module handles reporting news by journalist and by viewing
reported news they can upload relevant news. This section provides the
users to search for news also can add local news.
3. MANAGING REPORTERS:
Job scheduling of journalist or reporters and
their posting are handled in this module.
4. ADVERTISEMENTS:
This section is meant for the customers to publish
advertisements. Uploading and activation of these advertisements
are included in this module.

Subscription
The project titled Print Media Subscription system enables the customers
to subscribe various publications of a print media company.The users are
allowed to register to this system.The registered customers will become
the subscribers only after he/she subscribes any publications of the
company.The subscribed customers are allowed to give the feedback to
the administrator about the publications that he subscribed..And also
agencies are allowed to subscribe various publications.
The subscribers are allowed to renew their subscriptions

before the expiring date.For the subscription and subscription renewal the
customers and agency should forward payment details.The administrator
checks the payment and decides on granting permission based on
payment.

The subscription section deals with the management of the subscriptions

of the publications of the print media company.The company has several

subscription schemes among which the user can choose the one that suits
him/her most.The existing subscribers have the facility of determining the
status of their subscription.
Agency
The section focuses on the details of the subscription made by different

agencies.The agencies may enquire about the status of the various
subscribers who have registered themselves through the agency.
Administration
The administration section is reserved for the administrator of the

system.This section deals with the management of the data received
through the system and the efficient transferring and updation of that
data.
Feedback
The section provides the user to give his/her feedback about the various
publication of the company.The user may express his views on the
features that appear in any of the publications of the company.

SECURE FILE TRANSFER USING
QR-CODE
By using Qr code any one can Transfer any type of file in a secured
way. It is happening by giving a unique qr code to user while their
Registration. The user can download the file which is in their inbox only
after the entering of the correct qr code.
It means quick response code. It is a two dimensional code. It is an
extension of linear bar code. It has higher data capacity than linear bar
code. Less area is required to store data.2D representation of data.
Encode larger amount of data, can store data up to 100 times of a
traditional bar code. It is not susceptible to printing mistake compared to
traditional bar code. High speed reading, efficiency in encoding of special
characters and masking process. Code is highly confidentiality Code can
have its size freely selected according to the data volume to be stored
and the reading method. QR Code can handle various types of data such
as numerical characters, alphabets and signs.

This project is classified into three main modules namely Website,
Encoder and Decoder. And all these modules have their own sub-modules
with respect to their functionalities.
MODULES:
1)User Management
It involves storing, updating, deleting of data relating to users in

the database Administrator is responsible for handling various
operations

2)Qr code creation
The user gets their qr code while their Registration. The qr code
depends on the password of the user or in other sense the qr code
generating according to the password of the user. There wont be the
same qr code the different user.
3)Qr code Identification
If there is file in users inbox then they have to enter their Qr

code for accessing the file. The qr code only knows the valid user, so
the security of the file is happening here.

4) File Transfer
All user is having the provision of transferring any type of

files, if they having an account. User can download file
5) File Encryption
For the security of the file content Encryption is doing. Before sending
the file through the network the encryption is happening with the
different encryption method.
6) File Decryption
In receiving side File decryption is happening. The Encrypted

format of the file is not readable by the user. So decryption is doing.

CRIME ALERT
The project titled as “Online Crimefile Management “is a web based
application.
This software provides facility for reporting online crimes, complaints,
missing persons,
show most wanted person details mailing as well as chatting. Any Number
of clients can
connect to the server. Each user first makes their login to sever to show
their availability.
The server can be any Web Server
This will help the police to avoid violation of laws. They have record about
the complaint. So superior officers can check the functioning of police
station.

View Hotnews: This module help the visitor to see the latest hotnews
which can updated by the admin.

online missing persons details also we have to add photos of
missing person
 View Missing person: This module help the user to view all the
missing person details.
 View Most wanted persons: This module help the user to view
all most wanted persons which can be given by the
administrator.
 Edit Complaint : This module help the user to edit his
complaint details.
 Edit Account: This module help the user to update his or her
profile.
 View complaint status: This module allows us to view the
status of all complaint that you have posted earlier.
 View crime status: This module allows us to view the status of
the all crimes that you have posted earlier.
 Add and View feedback: This module helps the user to add
and view feedbacks
The administrator module includes

 View and reply user complaint: This module helps the admin to view
and reply user’s complaint details.
 View and reply user crimes: This module helps the admin to view
and reply user’s crimes details

 Add and delete latest hot news: This module helps the admin to add
and delete latest ho tnews.
 View and delete user’s feedback: This module helps the admin to
add and delete user’s feedback
 Add, delete and view most wanted persons: This module helps the
admin to add, delete and view most wanted person details
 Add, delete and view missing persons: This module helps the admin
to add, delete and view missing person details
 View and delete all complaint reply: This module helps the admin to
view and delete complaint reply.
 Change password: This module helps the admin to update his or
her password

ONLINE JOB SEARCH
The important of placement system is increasing day by day. Thousands
of applicants are depending placement cell. But the applicants are facing
so many problems. This project is an attempt to minimize the problems of
an applicant to find a correct job. This is a useful job search site for the
job seekers. In this site you can search jobs in all countries. This site
displays all the required search entries with full details such as company
name, location and the salary.
The job seekers can easily get contact with the organization. At the
same time it makes easy for company to get an employee. For this
purpose initially both employers and graduates have to register on this
website. When job seeker register this website they have to give their
complete personal details and skills they possess. Thus a resume is
generated by this details that is seen by company. In the same way the
companies have to give complete details of jobs they are providing.
This project has two basic modes
1. Job seeker
In job seeker mode registered users will be able to search jobs
.He /she can create and upload multiple resumes, apply for jobs online.
Only registered users have the permission to apply for jobs, called
registered user.

2. Job givers
In job givers mode different types of job vacancies will be published.
Job Seekers have the rights to sign up, but employers don’t have the
rights to register in such mode. You can also switch from one mode to
another with a click of a mouse.

1. Administrator:
Administrator has the full authority over the website. He can view
all the registered users and have the power to delete them. He can edit
the web pages and update them. He can view all the company details
also.
2. Jobseeker:
A jobseeker can register him. After registration, he will be directed
to his homepage. Here he can update his profile, change password and
see the feedback.
3. Company:
A company can register it, conduct online examination, approve or
disapprove candidates and provides results about the selected
candidates.
COMPUS INFORMATION SYSTEM
In a typical campus scenario, the access for a student to details such as

his/her internals, monthly attendance reports etc. is available only through
notice board. The main aim of our system is to make this information accessible
throughout the campus LAN.
There are different access privileges for students, tutors, HODs etc. The
access to different data is based on the user's privilege. New user accounts can
be created only by a higher privileged user. Detailed report of the students and
teachers are available to users with enough access rights. There is also an
option for students to write feedback on their teachers. Another feature of the
system facilitates the students to keep track of their previous exam's details

such as register number through the scratch pad provided by the system. An
online library is provided for uploading and downloading eBooks. The overall
system is designed in such a way that the students as well as teachers can keep
track of their academic details easily and efficiently.
