When the pandemic happened and our students

needed more support than ever, the time
commitment grew, and so did the dedication to
my students. We finished the year strong
despite the circumstances. I have helped
communicate with families who lack telephone
communication skills. Students are given
lessons on cultures of resilience and
perseverance to support educational growth.

Often times our school had the opportunity to be

featured in the media. When this happened, I was
often asked by our administration to be the voice and
face for these occasions. As seen in this interview, I
have to speak without a script, and present myself in
a professional manner to not just my school, but the
community. The students and family featured here
were both my students either presently or in the past.
I work with the families in a professional community
to bring the school, family, and community together
through media. (12.20)
