1. Anthropology Known as holistic science of humans that deals with the integration of
different aspects of the social science, humanities and human biology
2. Archeology The study of human activity through the recovery and analysis of material
culture. It involves fossils, artifacts, architecture etc, . It can also be
considered as both social science and humanities
3. Classics Originated from the word classicus that means belongings to the highest class of
citizens. Also known as classical studies
4. History A systematic study of the collected information about past and refers to the study and
interpretation of the record of human, societies, intuitions and any other topics that
has changed over time.
5. Linguistic Language It is the scientific study of language that is generally considered a social science, a
natural science and humanities that deals with analysis of language, vocabulary and
variety uses of language
6. Law and Politics Comes from old English “Lagu” that means something laid down or fixed. It
involves authority, command of a sovereign and legal policy where both humans and
society benefited.
7. Literature Comes from the latin word literature/litteratura. It deals with literary piece which
both written and oral and it is categorized into fiction, non-fiction, prose and poetry
8. Philosophy It comes from the two Greek words, “philos/philia,” which means love and “sophia,”
which means wisdom. defined as “love of wisdom” that deals with the study of
problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, justification, truth,
justice, right and wrong, beauty, validity, mind, and language. It is distinguished
from using the human mind and wisdom to address issues into a critical, generally
systematic approach and its reliance on reasoned argument, rather than experimental
approach
9. Religion Comes from the two Latin words “re” which means again, and “ligare,” which means
“to connect”. defined as a social-cultural system of designated behaviors and
practices, morals, worldviews, texts, sanctified places, prophecies, ethics, or
organizations, that relate humanity to supernatural, transcendental, or spiritual
elements
10.Performing Arts Refers to form of art in which artist uses their voices, bodies, or animate objects to
convey artistic expression that intended to express one’s emotional feelings. It
includes acrobatic, busking, comedy, dance, film, magic.
11.Visual Art Refers to forms such as paintings, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics that
includes many artistic disciplines

understand others through what it does. Different linguists study language in different

all the world's languages share. Some study the differences
among languages. Some linguists focus on structure, others
on meaning. Some study language in the head, some study
