Tribute to the Women

In my life on Women’s Day

Ah! It is Women's Day.

Exactly after a year since I wrote
An ode to them!
What has changed since then?
Let me explore!

I continue to
Cherish and love
The women in my life!
Hate one odd,
But will never generalise/categorise!

To the entire women

And vixen too in my life!
Here is my Salute!

Beloved mother
Departed,
Your lap was the sanctuary!
Yours was the most tireless and noble soul,
Miss you much; because I remain
A loveless child!
If there is another life
I wish to be reborn
As your daughter not son!
To cleanse my sins of not being
There when you needed me!

My angel daughters,
You fill my heart
With immense pride
And milk of kindness
I scoff at the senseless
Demands of my brethren
For sons

The depravity of female foeticide

The sickening horrors of female infanticide
All in the name of an inheritance, a lineage,
A son to consign the mortal remains!
Ha! Hang such sick traditions, religions and rituals!
If there is a prodigal son
There are plenty
Who would impale a parent at the stake!
For this life and if there are more
I would trade a daughter
For ten sons!

My daughters! You are my sole

Surviving bonds
That keeps me rooted
By your love and hugs
Your small little plays and words
Prop up my crumbling world!
You are my passport
To sanity!
You are the sole possessions
Of my dispossessed self!
I owe you myself!

You are not yet women!

Will never be! At least to me!
And I will gladly
Castrate any guy
Who thinks you are meat
As you grow!

My ever caring sister!

You are always listening, never judging
Always absorbing, always soothing,
Like a sponge, bathing me with
Encouraging words and hugs
I owe you much!

My ethereal Beloved
With you, Love transcends
Time and Space
A love that has matured
Over decades
You are my Muse
Compelling me
To love and to express
The ink of my poetry
You are more
Than a Woman to me!
So what if
You give me company
Only in my dreams!
I owe you loads!

And the wife! Hmm!

Why spare you on such occasion!
Marriage is the legal sanctity
Not only to create
But also destroy life
Demolish your very being!
Women can be mean
Cruelty is not gender specific!
The losses can never be squared!
We owe each other
To let go!

My handful women friends

You enrich me much
Your gender
Is never an issue
My hormones are never rattled
With you
It is not as if you lack
The magnetism
In your curves and verve
But your warmth is far more comforting
The sanctuary of your hugs
Matters more than treacherous curves
I owe you loads!

Ah! Speaking of curves!

And the joy rides!
My hot heady encounters!
Mutual passion and sheer lust
Consenting adults
Driven by hormones
Sharing skins
Without feelings,
Women of my youth,
Tasteful but not blissful,
Without any lingering
After taste!
We owe each other nothing
We are done!

Ah! The celebrations of the flesh!

It is nauseating
That we have perverts and psychos
Indulging in paedophilia, incest and rape!

The answer is not celibacy!

Celibate! Never! Celebrate
My favorite joke is of a young monk
Questioning passed on scriptures
And then discovering it is was a
Spelling mistake of a single ‘r’
That marred lives not celebrate
But be celibates, declining the fountains of youth!
Ah! The fountains of youth!
Burn the scriptures!
Man and woman are
Meant to mate!
Carved out of a rib
A woman makes a man complete
And also leaves him gasping for air and space!

Adult Consent must be the sole

Commandment
When you are detached!

Now, with the youth in decline

Life in recline
A hard on is not what I need!
A primed grenade lives on a short fuse!
Perhaps even in later years
Viagra may also be a waste
Wonder if I am ripe or simply rotting!
But I do know that
I do not need
To test my testosterone!
Sex is always more a matter
Of the mind than the groin!

Now the soul yearns;

The flesh has been well fed
Satiated! So very few regrets!
In all these decades!

So here is my take
On this Women’s day!

To the men,
Who are my friends,
Respect women
Unless you were born;
Not from a womb
But a trash can.
Do not treat women as meat,
Vegetarianism is in.
It is good for your heart.
Eventually,
You need the heart
Much more!
Unless
You are a dickhead!
Do not get lost in;
Batting eyes lashes,
And Lusty caresses!
Appearances are deceptive,
Sans a much maligned Casanova
Women are the masters of the art
Men are just evolving apes

Speaking up of deception!
History is replete
From Delilah to Mata Hari!
It may be momentary bliss,
To feel your arms
Around a voluptuous one!

Always wanting more than a handful,

When we have our hands full!
Remember your hands have evolved
So don’t ever paw!

We run after the one in the bush,

We are the bush men
In our youth!
And some refuse to grow up!
But don't we all know;
The agony of premature ejaculation!
So experiment, yes!
With no strings attached
While you are detached!
But simply choose
One for the twilight
You can share
Your heart with!

To the women;
Notwithstanding all this cacophony
Of women’s rights
The tragedy is that
A fair degree of crimes
Against you
Are perpetuated or connived
With your own kind!
So initiate the charity at home!

Women! Strive for gender equality

Not for parity! Why surrender the magic
Of your curves and lush hair!
Create, jostle and fight for your own space,
But don’t cede the niche!
Say No to oppression and No to abuse!
Say No to Worship & No to lofty but slippery pedestals
Where you are often placed!
Garlands follow brickbats!

Strive for Equality! Shoulder to shoulders!

No, you don’t need your stilettos
You don’t need props for self growth!

Spread love, not legs.

Though legs
May take you places
But they are
Better grounded,
And you will have
Very few regrets!

Vanity may be fair!

But cosmetics lie!
They never reach beneath the skin!
It will age! It will decay!
What grows must sag one day!

Nurture the heart

Cleanse the mind
Be beautiful inside,
Such beauty always
Reflects outside!
