LRCW 7. The end of Late Roman Pottery.

The last centuries at the crossroads

Dear all,

We are delighted to inform you that we are ready to proceed with the publication of
the LRCW7 Conference held in Valencia/Alacant/Riba-Roja de Túria. The editors of the
volume will be Miguel Ángel Cau Ontiveros, Josep Maria Macias i Solé, Albert Ribera i
Lacomba.

We are sorry for the delay, but in the current circumstances everything has been more
complicated than previously expected. In addition, it did not seem appropriated to
launch this call, when the previous volume from the fantastic conference held at
Agrigento was still not ready. Now that the Agrigento volume is on its final stage, and it
will be published shortly, it is the time to proceed with the call for contributions for the
LRCW7 conference volume.

We are very glad to inform that the LRCW7 volume will be published with
Archaeopress, a prestige publishing company that is currently in the first position in
the Ranking of the Scholarly Publishers Indicators (SIP) in Humanities and Social
Sciences. The volume editors and independent reviewers will evaluate the papers for
publication. The manuscripts will be therefore peer-reviewed.

The conference papers will be managed using the OJS (Open Journal System) remote
publication handling software hosted by Archaeopress. Papers are to be submitted
electronically to a remote server for access by editors, reviewers, authors, and finally
the publisher. This software is intended to simplify and speed up the process of
submission/review/revision and publication. Restrictions on access mean that
comments between the parties remain confidential.

The LRCW7 OJS home page has now been created:

http://archaeopresspublishing.com/ojs/index.php/LRCW7/index. Papers may be
submitted for publication by accessing the web page and following the instructions
there.

The deadline for the submission of papers is 15 November 2021.

In any case, for us to have a first summary of the volume, please confirm your
participation by sending us the title (even if this just an interim title) of your
contribution and the authors by the end of April 2021.

Guidelines for authors

Submission guidelines

We encourage you to submit your papers in your originally mother tongue if this is
one of the languages accepted in the LRCW Conference Series: English, Spanish,
French, Italian. If you decide to publish in a language that is not your mother tongue,
please make sure that the manuscript is revised by a native speaker and properly
corrected for spelling, grammar, and style. Manuscripts that will not accomplish the
standards will have to be, unfortunately, rejected.

The maximum number of words for each paper is 5000 (8000 for invited papers) + 6
(10) figures / tables. Referencing / citation is to be according to the Harvard (author-
date) style of referencing. Footnotes and endnotes are not allowed. See below for
further details. Submissions should also include a list of up to six ‘key words’, an
abstract of c. 100 words, and institutional affiliation and e-mail of the authors.

The publisher will decide, following discussion with the editors, if figures are to be
printed in colour or b/w. Illustrations which are originally in colour should be
submitted in colour (do not convert to b/w), but please make sure that they are
understandable in b/w, should they be presented as such in the printed version. In the
electronic version the images will appear in color.

The complete guidelines for authors can be found at:

Please, make sure that you carefully read the guidelines and that your manuscripts are
prepared accordingly.

We want to take this opportunity to thank you again for your participation in the 7th LRCW
conference. We are looking forward to receiving your manuscripts.

We hope that you and your relatives are all well with this Covid-19 crisis.

Best wishes

Miguel Ángel Cau, Josep Maria Macias, Albert Ribera
