sole discretion reserves the right to allocate and administer the scholarship award as appropriate and conditions may
be subject to change. The University has sole discretion in awarding this scholarship and reserves the right not to
award a scholarship or to withdraw a scholarship for non-compliance with the terms of the award.

Successful candidates will normally be notified by email no later than one month after the publicised closing date. The
scholarship will only be awarded towards first year undergraduate or postgraduate tuition fees for international fee-
paying students starting in February, June or September 2021. The financial award will be applied directly to the
scholar’s tuition fees subject to full payment of tuition fees. No other University bursaries or discounts can be used in
conjunction with the International Ambassador Scholarship.

The Award
The scholar is expected to enrol for the intake stated on their Scholarship Offer Letter. The scholar must comply with
the terms and conditions of admittance and the University’s Regulations, including the Attendance Policy. Where there
is a failure to comply the scholarship award may be withdrawn in whole or part.

The scholar will be expected to complete their programme of study successfully within the time frame outlined on their
Scholarship Offer Letter. Scholarships do not include any other expenses, for example living and transport costs.

The scholar will be expected to participate in current and future promotional activities and as such will be interviewed

the University of West London by supporting events organised for scholars and events organised by the International
Office. The scholar agrees no payment will be made by the University to the scholar for their participation in
promotional activities. The scholar assigns to the University any intellectual property or other rights which are created
as part of the promotional material.

Should the scholar be awarded the International Ambassador Scholarship and become an ambassador for the
University, the scholar hereby also agrees to grant permission to the University to: use (and reproduce) the recording
of their image and voice (e.g. photograph, audio, or video); and, to distribute their image or recording in any medium,
be it print or electronic form, which may include the internet for the purposes of the promotion of the University.

Tier 4 (General) student visa

All scholars will be required to apply for prior appropriate student entry clearance (Tier 4 (General) student visa).
Student immigration requirements for entry into the UK are operated on points based system. Scholars must ensure
that they meet all the requirements for entry within their application, in line with the UKVI’s Tier 4 Policy Guidance.
Scholars should only proceed with their acceptance of the award if they are confident that they meet these
requirements. The scholarship award will not be made, or if made will be withdrawn where a Tier 4 (General) student
visa is not granted, or is subsequently withdrawn. If the scholar wishes their dependants to accompany them during
their studies at the University of West London, please note they will be responsible for meeting the requirements for a
dependant’s visa. Up to date details of the Tier 4 Student Immigration Rules and application procedures can be found
