Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER) is a Research &
Development Institute under the Administrative control of Department of Information Technology,
Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. Its main objective is to
promote the growth of Science and Technology of RF/Microwave Electronics, Medical Electronics,
Electromagnetic, Opto-Electronics, Millimeter wave Technology and its allied areas. SAMEER has its
headquarters at Mumbai and centers at Chennai, Kolkata and Navi Mumbai. SAMEER Mumbai needs on
contractual basis qualified and experienced persons in various disciplines to work in the area of
EMI/EMC Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility for its Navi Mumbai centre,
Mumbai: The appointments are on contract basis for a period of two years .

Details of the vacancies are as follows:

(1) Project Assistant – : Consolidated pay : 10470/- with an increment of Rs. 700/- per year

Qualification requirements: Diploma in Electronics /Telecommunication Engg. or Radio Engg

No. of Posts: 3

Age: Max. 30 years as on date of interview

Candidate should be Diploma Holder in Electronics/ Telecommunication / Radio Engineering from

reputed University with minimum 60% marks and should preferably have experience of one year in
design and development of control systems.

(2) Research Scientist – : Consolidated pay: 20250/- with an increment of Rs. 1000/- per year

Age: Max. 30 years as on date of interview

Qualification requirements: Degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication / Instrumentation :

No. of Posts : 2 Nos.

Candidate should be degree holder (B.E. / B. Tech/ME/M Tech )in Electronics/ Telecommunication /
Instrumentation Engineering from reputed University with minimum 60% marks. Preference will be
given to experienced candidates, who have worked in the area of design and development of PLC,
embedded and electronic circuits.
(3) Research Scientist – : Consolidated pay : 20250/- with an increment of Rs. 1000/- per year

Age: Max. 30 years as on date of interview

Qualification requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering

No. of Posts : 1

Candidate should be degree holder (B.E. / B. Tech/ME/M Tech ) in Mechanical Engineering from
reputed University with minimum 60% marks. Preference will be given to experienced candidates,
who have worked in the area of designing of hardware using computer aided design tools.

Walk-in interview will be held at SAMEER, IIT Campus, Powai, Mumbai-76 on 12th March, 2011 for
Research Scientist post and 13th March, 2011 for Project Assistant post 10.00 Hrs onwards .

The application form should not be sent by post. Applicants must produce completed application forms in
all respects supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, mark sheets,
experience and NOC from employer if working in Government departments, public sectors,
autonomous organisations and Government funded research agencies at the time of interview.

GENERAL CONDITIONS :-

1. The above posts carry consolidated pay and purely temporary.

2. Candidates have to appear for a written test.
3. NOC from employer if working in Government departments, public sectors, autonomous
organisations and Government funded research agencies to be produced at the time of
interview.
4. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing for the written test/interview.
