Admission Procedures

1. Campus Visit: Parents and students are welcome and encouraged to arrange an appointment for a campus tour.

2. Application: Parents submit a complete application form.

3. Previous School Records: Parents need to submit current school year reports and the two previous school year reports.
A student must have passing marks in their current grade level.

4. GSAD Recommendation Form: Parents request the current school to complete the GSAD Confidential
Recommendation Form. The school should fax it directly to GSAD or place it in an envelope with the school stamp on the
seal.

5. Photos: Submit 4 passport size photos.

6. Birth Certificate: A certified copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, attested in your country and also attested by the
UAE Embassy in your home country, must be submitted. If the certificate is not in English, an official English translation
will need to be provided (completed by an official UAE legal translator). If the birth certificate is issued in the UAE, GCC,
America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or United Kingdom you do not need to have it attested.

7. Passport Copy: A copy of the applicant’s passport, including resident visa (for non-UAE Nationals) must be submitted.
Parents must also submit a copy of their passport with resident visa (for non-UAE Nationals). If the residence visa is under
process please provide a letter from the company/sponsor that verifies this. The copy of the residence visa will need to be
provided as soon as possible.

8. Health Form: Parents must submit the completed GSAD Health Form.

9. Immunization Record: Parents must submit a copy of the applicant’s immunization card.

10. Testing: After all documents are complete, GSAD admission’s office will contact the parent to schedule the admissions
exam.

11. Admission Decisions: Upon review of an applicant’s complete admissions file by the Admissions Committee, decisions
are made to accept, decline or place a candidate in our qualified wait pool if space is not available.

12. Enrollment Decisions: Parents of candidates who are accepted to The Glenelg School of Abu Dhabi are asked to
enroll their child by paying a non-refundable enrollment deposit of 2,000AED within one week of acceptance. This deposit
will be applied toward tuition.

13. End of Current School Year Report: An official copy of the end of year report for the current school year must be
submitted by July 5th.

14. Transfer Certificate: For those transferring from within the UAE the transfer certificate must be submitted by July
15th.

15. Transfer Certificate from outside UAE: The original final school report for the current year must be attested in your
home country and also attested by the UAE Embassy in your home country and submitted before the first day of school. If
the original final school record is issued in the America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or United Kingdom you do not
need to have it attested. If it is issued in a GCC then you just need to have it stamped by the Ministry of Education in your
home country.
