Feature Conference, which will be held in Hilversum at the kind invitation of NPO

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

1 March:

Deadline for submitting radio feature/documentary productions for possible inclusion in

the listening sessions. Please provide:

o 1 ten-minute audio excerpt

o an English translation of the excerpt provided
o a synopsis of the production

The excerpt may be sent by one of these methods:

o By uploading an audio file to the following ftp server:

The EBU Features Group will meet in Geneva on 7-8 March to select the productions
which will be played at the IFC. All entrants will be notified by e-mail of the outcome of
the pre-selection process after this meeting.

Deadline for sending the selected programmes for the listening sessions
Programmes, accompanied by one copy of the English translation, should be sent on CD
to:

Excerpts for the listening sessions should not exceed 20'00 in duration. Each participant
will have 5'00 to introduce his/her programme. Each delegate must bring 100 copies of
his/her programme script to
Hilversum. The script should be a full transcript of the programme in English, preferably
with the original language on the left-hand page and the English translation on the right.

Sunday, 15 May: 17.00/20.30 (registration and welcoming reception)

The registration will take place in the Burgerzaal (more details below) and will start at
17.00 before the welcoming reception.

The welcoming reception (including buffet) offered by the City of Hilversum will take
place in the Burgerzaal of the City Town Hall, Dudokpark 1, 1217 JE, Hilversum

- On 15 May, there will be shuttle buses at the train station in Hilversum to bring guests
to their hotels. We will leave relevant information in the central hall, probably on the
screen, or there will be a desk.

- trains from Schiphol Airport: relevant information is attached at the end of this circular.

Tuesday, 17 May at 20.00 and the bicycle tour before the dinner

On 17 May there will be a Conference dinner at the invitation of NPO. The dinner will take
place at De Vorstin café http://www.devorstin.nl, where afterwards there will be time for
relaxation and music.

Trains from Schiphol Airport

The Schiphol train station is situated directly below the airport. You can pick up a free baggage
trolley from the platform. Via Schiphol Plaza, you can walk straight to the departure or arrival
hall.

Train tickets

Train tickets for domestic travel are available from the yellow ticket machines near the
platforms at Schiphol Plaza. Tickets (for domestic and international travel) are also available
from the ticket offices, which are situated close to the red/white-checked cube at Schiphol
Plaza. Staff at the ticket offices will also be able to provide you with train departure
information.
