Brief
You will be completing various ActionScript 3.0 Tutorials in class (supporting Video Tutorials will
be provided online at http://www.meltstation.com/tutorials/index.html ). Throughout these tutorials,
you will be using Flash as the Authoring Tool. You will learn Core Programming Concepts and
Display and Interactivity.
The Scripts you create throughout these Tutorials will eventually be a part of Assignment 04
Website Authoring. You will be using these Scripts to build a Website Portfolio.
You will need to collate the following tutorials and submit them as a part of this Assignment:

Process
01 You will be required to be in attendance in order to complete the ActionScript 3.0 Tutorials.
02 Video Tutorials will be provided to assist you in completing the programs.
03 You are Not required to use the same graphics or animations as in the Tutorials. The
Tutorials will be using basic graphics. Feel free to experiment and have fun using Flash as the
Authoring Tool. While you are working on your scripts, you are building a Portfolio that you will be
able to use in the future to display your knowledge of ActionScript 3.0. Make it fun and interesting.
04 Ensure that you name all the Tutorial Files correctly.
05 Deliver your Assignment 01 Zip file containing all the tutorials electronically on WebCT.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Unit delivery and assessment is subject to change. Attend classes regularly to keep up to date
with any alterations or changes.
Where an assignment is submitted after the specified due time and date, the assignment mark
will be penalised at the rate of 10% per day or part thereof.
If late assignments are received after marked assignments have been returned, the late
assignments will not be accepted any marks.
Plagiarism
You must provide proof that the work you submit is your own. If you cannot prove this, your
teacher is obligated to fail you for the assignment.
Plagiarism is the action or practice of taking and submitting or presenting the thoughts, writings or
other work of someone else as though it is your own work. Plagiarism includes any of the
following, without full and appropriate acknowledgment to the original source(s):
(a) the use of the whole or part of a computer program written by another person;
(b) the use, in essays or other assessable work, of the whole or part of a written work from any
source including but not limited to a book, journal, newspaper article, set of lecture notes, current
or past student’s work, any other person’s work, a website or database;
(c) the paraphrasing of another’s work;
(d) the use of musical composition, audio, visual, images, designs, graphics, photographic
images, models etc.,
(e) the use of regalia, that is sketches, maquettes, objects, artefacts, costumes, models and the
like.
Enabling plagiarism contributes to plagiarism and therefore will be treated as a form of plagiarism.
Enabling plagiarism means allowing or otherwise assisting another student to copy or otherwise
plagiarise work by, for example, allowing access to a draft or completed assignment or other
work.
