The McIntoshes

Dear Praying Friend, November 2010

It’s time for an update from the McIntoshes.

Debbie and Andrea returned to Peru August 4 so that Andrea could begin her junior year in high school the next day. I
stayed behind to continue support raising. The transition was a difficult one for them as they had to move three times due
to a variety of circumstances. We decided it was time to move back into our home and on October 7 I used frequent flyer
miles and returned to Peru help with the move.

We had many obstacles to face as our renters made numerous unapproved modifications to our home, including changing
the front door entrance and painting all our wood doors white enamel. Thankfully the modifications have by and large
been reversed and we are back in the home.

I have been able to continue my primary ministry of teaching leadership courses in ProMETA. I am currently teaching a
course and am just about finished with a new course on leading teams that I will teach for 15 weeks beginning in January.
My life’s purpose is to raise up a new generation of leadership for the Latin American church. Living in Lima helps me to
stay in touch with Latin American reality.

I also teach at the Evangelical Seminary of Lima. I am slated to teach a one month course in February in a non-degree
program to church leaders from around Peru on church planting. In the semester beginning in March I am to teach two
courses, evangelism and biblical theology of missions in the bachelor’s level course. The three courses at the seminary
will have about 50 total students, quite an opportunity for influencing a new generation of leaders. The teaching of those
three courses will be in jeopardy as if I don’t have our full support by early January I will have to return and continue
visiting churches. I am also serving on an advisory council at El Redentor, a local Evangelical Free Church and that would
be put on hold if I have to return.

Debbie will be counseling in El Redentor and also spend one day a week counseling in conjunction with a Christian
community in a very poor area of the city. Our deep desire and prayer is to continue together in Lima without interruption.
Would you pray with us to that end and, if God should so lead you, join our team of monthly supporters. You may
contribute to our support by sending it to:
