2. AVIATION GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT (AGSE)

a. Forms and Records


(1) Does all ground support equipment that requires unit personnel to perform PMCS or Periodic
Services, have a properly filled out DD Form 314? (DA Pam 750-8, Para 3-9) P / F / NA

(2) Are daily inspections of lifting devices being recorded on locally produced forms? (TB 43-
0142, Para 4b (2) NOTE, Appendix B) P / F / NA

(3) Are periodic inspections and required tests scheduled on DD Forms 314? (TB 43-0142, Para

(4) Does the unit have the manufacturer, repair, or DS/GS maintenance activities' written
certification of load testing for all ground support equipment classified as a lifting device? (TB 43-0142,

(5) Is ground support equipment inventoried at least annually? (TC 3-04.7, Para 3-128)

b. Ground Support Equipment
(1) Is all ground support equipment spot painted when needed? (TM 1-1500-204-23-9, Para 9-3a

(2) Is all non-tactical ground support equipment marked with reflective material? (TM

(3) Is all ground support equipment legibly stenciled or marked with required safety and

(4) If CPC inspections on ground support equipment are not covered in the applicable TM, are

c. Lifting Devices
(1) Are shop floor cranes, hoist beams, jack stands, and jacks stenciled with the load rating and
date of next periodic inspection? (TB 43-0142, Para 6f (3)) P / F / NA

(2) Are the load ratings and dates of the next periodic inspection stenciled on crane booms less
than 7 feet above floor level? (TB 43-0142, Para 6f (1) and note) P / F / NA

(3) Do all hoists, chains, slings, and hooks have appropriate markings attached? (TB 43-0142,

(4) Are forklifts stenciled on the side of the mast to the operators left with load rating and date of

d. Aviation Ground Power Unit (AGPU)
(1) Are all AGPU operators properly licensed on an OF 346 or automated form for units using

(2) Are oil and hydraulic samples on the AGPU taken at intervals described in TB 43-0211? (TB

(3) Is a reference library established with required publications on-hand to ensure that unit AGSE

(4) Do the section, shops, and platoon NCOICs monitor assigned maintenance personnel’s
compliance with aircraft TM familiarization using an updated and current familiarization record? (TC 3-
