General Behavior
1. Reading settings from the AN-80i does not populate CIR values.
2. Due to the granularity of the QoS, some groups or connections may receive additional CIR/PIR.
3. The PIR chart displays the total booked PIR as a percentage of the desired oversubscription.
4. When the Group multicast rate is set to auto, the modulation will be set to one step below the
lowest modulation used by members of that group. This has a multiplier effect on requested CIR.
5. The CIR chart displays the 'obtained CIR' for uplink, downlink, and multicast groups. Approximately
9% to 12% of bandwidth is reserved for scheduling contingencies under peak traffic conditions.
6. The 'obtained CIR' is generally calculated by: a) first meeting the requested CIR for all groups and
connections, and then b) distributing all remaining available bandwidth between groups and
connections.
7. The CIR chart does not show the actual requested CIR, or otherwise indicate unused capacity.
