INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT

THIS INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT is made on this __________ day of ___________2000

by and between (YOUR NAME HERE)__________________________and The Wright People.

The parties agree as follows:
1. The Wright People (hereinafter referred to as TWP) is a placement agency specializing in locating
opportunities for occasional work as a waiter, bartender, carver, or other service provided at catered functions
principally in the Baltimore and Washington DC areas.
2. The above named individual (hereinafter referred to as IC), is a self-employed independent contractor
providing services in the catering and food services industry, and has no obligation to accept any referral from TWP
and TWP is under no obligation to offer work to IC.
3. If IC is accepted by TWP for assignments, IC will be notified by TWP and will remain on the TWP list of
available service providers until such time as IC advises TWP that IC is no longer available for referrals.
4. IC agrees that in lieu of a direct fee payable by IC to TWP for the referral services of TWP, TWP will
collect fees from the individual or organization to which IC is referred and shall deduct therefrom a fee for the
services of TWP and shall pay the remainder thereof to IC.
5. TWP will withhold no amounts for Federal, State, or local taxes, workmen's compensation insurance,
unemployment insurance, social security, FICA taxes, or any other purpose from fees paid to IC.
6. IC is responsible for payment of all taxes of any nature to any and all entities, Federal, State, or local,
arising out of the payment of any fees by TWP to IC. IC is therefore responsible for and will file all forms and
returns, including tax returns, required by Federal, State, or local government statutes, or ordinances, or government
regulations as a result of any fees paid to IC by TWP.
7. TWP will provide no health, workmen's compensation, or any other type of insurance for, or with respect
to, IC, and should IC desire health or any other type insurance, IC is responsible for obtaining said insurance and
paying any premiums required.
8. IC shall furnish, at IC's own expense, any materials, uniforms, equipment, and other items necessary to
carry out the services requested by the individual or organization to which IC is referred.
9. IC understands and acknowledges that any work IC secures as a result of a referral
by TWP shall be performed entirely at IC's own risk, and IC assumes all responsibility for the
condition of any equipment or other items used in the performance of such work. IC agrees
to indemnify TWP for any and all liability or loss arising in any way out of IC's performance of
work secured through TWP's referrals.
10. IC has reviewed this Agreement and has discussed it with a representative of TWP prior to signing
