RESREACH METHODOLOGY
Research Objective:
To research for the new up-coming investment journal in the
market about its awareness, demand, its price fixing and all the
strategy to be used in the existing market to endure for longevity
with masses of competitors.

Research Design:

The research design undertaken in this project is Preliminary


Study which is conducted for the first time by the researcher.
Primary data are been collected in this research.

Benefits of the Study:

o Benefits to Researcher
• Learnt the original working atmosphere of the organization
• Got the practical knowledge about how decisions are taken in an
organization.
• Practical knowledge about how the market research is carried out
• How the strategies are formed
• Learnt how the survey is carried out to launch the new product &
and to formulate strategies to increase the sales.
• Actual study about how the different department of the
organization works.

• Helpful to the organization in development of new product
• Formation of the new marketing strategy and promotional strategy
for the organization
• Helpful to the other outside persons in studying how the actual new
product launching is carried out & how the market research is

Source of Data Collection:


 Data is collected from primary sources including students, brokers &
sub-brokers & retail investors

Sample Design:
o Population: - All Students, Retail Investors, Brokers & Sub Brokers
residing at Ahmedabad region.
o Samples :- some Students, Retail Investors, Brokers & Sub Brokers are
randomly chosen from the population
o Sample Size :-
1. Students - 74
2. Retail investors - 46
3. Brokers & sub-brokers - 83
Sampling Procedure: - Non-probability convenience sampling.

Limitation:

 Sample size or no. of respondents is less which may not


represent true result of whole population.
 Sometimes it happens that we take a wrong sample (Sampling
error).
 Limited number of secondary data is used.

 The perception of respondents cannot remain constant it


always changes with time.
 There were always biases on the part of brokers, students &
retail investors while filling up questionnaire due to lack of
interest.

Conclusion :

from the above data we can conclude that almost all brokers &
sub brokers are reading somekind of investment related
magazines. Average 60% people are reading investment related
magazines & are aware about such magazines. Others might be
not aware about such magazines or they are not intrested in
reading such magazines.

Conclusion :

We can conclude that people are reading all investment related


magazines available in the market. Among which India today &
Business today are preferred & read by large number people.
Some are also reading other then these magazines like Business
line & some are regular readers of news papers and web based
information (Internet).

Conclusion :

The people reading such investment related magazines are


satisfied with the magazines and only few are not satisfied
complaining about lots of advertisement in the magazines & the
information available is not neutral. So we can provide neutral
information, less advertisement that will be benificial for the
magazine.

Here we can conclude that people prefer to subscribe for such


magazines on the monthly basis, while many people subscribe for
such magazines rarely or they read from the different sources
availble to them.

people about a lot many investment tools. Almost all the people

investment tools. So that will be better scope for the launching of
such magazines.

Here we can conclude that almost all people are intrested in

invest. So that is also favourable scope for launching of such

Conclusion :

As the people are very much prise concious and from the
observation we can conclude that large number of people prefer
to buy such magazine at the price between Rs. 45-50. So this
should be the price as the customers are willing to pay such price
for the magazine.

Conclusion :

Here also large no. Of people prefer to subscribe for such


magazine on monthly basis. Only few prefer to subscribe on
quarterly, six monthly or yearly basis. Some people want to try out
reading such magazines and on the basis of the content they are
going to subscribe for the magazine.

Conclusion :

People always demand maximum return and minimum risk so for


that any person invests in any of the best investment avenues
available. From Share Market, investors get faster and better
return which increase in the capital of particular investor. We can
conclude that BANK SAVINGS & SHARE MARKET is the major
source of investment for the people & many are doing investment
in all sorts of investment tools also other then this include KVP,
PPF & MUTUAL FUND.

 Foreign trade, commodities market, metal industry &


information about global market.
 Technical & fundamental analysis of the companies.

 Information or analysis should be in series so that one relates


to other that cause customer to buy the whole series.

 Cover the information regarding current banking system,


investment plans & current investment rates.

 Good quality of graphics

 Provide tax saving methods to the customers

 Mutual fund, share market technical details with return of


shares

 Good presentation

 Language should be easy then other magazines

 Local or regional language will be preferred

 Capital market on 1 year subscription provides CD so provide


such promotional scheme for yearly subscription

 Latest or updated information about the market

 Information should be in depth with facts & figures

 Dollars rate updated should be there

 Articles covering investment strategy for why & how to


invest in real estate

 Magazine should be launched every 15 days

 Experts review should be included

 Information should be neutral ( should not favour any


company)

 Explain financial jargons of lehman brothers.

 Company EPS & P&L account, promoters holding etc.

 Dalal street having good graphics


 Weekly top 10 scripts should be shown.

 SMS service providing information.

 Website providing information.

 Not use of jargon words.

 Less no. Of advertisement given in magazine.

 Biasness must be avoided in our magazine related to script.

 To give information related IPO, it means after IPO & before


IPO performance.

 Give a future and option strategy like a spread, hedging, long


strudel, and long call ladder.

 It should be included information regarding commodity


market, currency market, insurance, SIP, mutual funds, post,
bonds, debenture etc.

 Also add up special current affair & news.

 To give information regarding EXIM policy.

 To give information regarding to FII flow rate & its effect on


capital market.

 To give information related global market like nikkei ,


NASDAQ , shanghai , NYSE

 To give information an inflation rate and its effect on BSE ,


NSE, F&o

 Information relating to the real E-state business.

 Magazine should be introduced in every 15 days.
