Brooks, and an Editorial Manager at BBC Books, Flanders͛ past schools were University of Kent,
and Cranbrook School.
Evaluation:

This book is interesting in many ways because of the information it displays
page after page. It mentions all kinds of instruments from a long time ago that weren͛t even
used as instruments.

To be perfectly honest, I agree with anything that this
author/editor says in the book. Sometimes at home, I research more information about
something I learn from the book. Some parts of that research, I find that in the book, and
realize that I and the author are on the same page; that Flanders must have did some research
as well, and it was true. There was not one thing that I disagreed with Julian Flanders on.

The author of ͚the story of music͛ nonfiction
series is fabulous. There is no way to not agree to anything that Flanders has in the books.
Authors, who are interested in making a nonfiction music book, read ͚the story of music͛ series
and enjoy it as well; authors might actually learn a thing or two that they didn͛t know before.

This book affected me by learning more about music since I
don͛t have a music class this year. Usually I thought that learning about music was boring
because of my past music teachers; now that I have read this book, I find learning about music
quite interesting, and would want to learn more. There might be a possibility that I would want
to do something with my career that deals with music and musical instruments.

This book was quite useful; now I have a better understanding of the history of music and
technology.

Comment:

This book was absolutely amazing; not boring at all and it is extremely interesting. I may have
said this once in the book review I did, but I just find it fascinating that some instruments we
use today were not used for music in the old times. I give this book five stars!
