 Why SMART Burglar Alarm?
Simple loop burglar
alarm sound whenever
loop breaks. What if
clever thief comes to
know the working of
this alarm?

the loop by using some other conductors and
then cut the shorted portion of the loop
without any problem

 Circuit Description
The circuit is built by op-amps and a few
discrete components. Two op-amps are
configured as voltage comparator. Resistor r1
and r2 divide dc supply equally. The resulting
6V is applied to the inverting input of the first
op-amp and the non inverting input of second
op-amp. The non inverting input of the first op-
amp is kept below and the inverting input of
second op-amp is kept above 6V.
As a result in normal condition, the output of
both op-amps remains low. When ‘thief’ shorts
the loop outside the area to protected, IC goes
high and transistor conducts and relay
energizes the sound alarm. In addition, when
the thief breaks the loop, the output of the op-
