PRECISION STAMPING-
Shivalik can supply precision components of Thermostatic Bimetal, Electron Beam Welded
Material, Stainless Steel Strips, Shunt Material and Solder Top Lay. The company has a well
equipped and a comprehensive TOOL ROOM to manufacture in-house tooling to produce
components according to customers specification.

Shunt/Precision Resistors-

Shivalik offers electron beam welded shunts/resistors for current sensing and energy
metering. A precision resistance alloy strip is welded by electron beam to copper on
each side. Custom made shunts are manufactured as per customers requirement and
then stamped out of the welded strip.Compared with current transformers these
resistors offer advantages of high precision, low temperature coefficient, high
stability of electric resistance, low watt loss and are magnetically tamper proof.
Besides these technical advantages they also offer space, cost savings and ease of
assembly. To design the most economical resistor/shunt please advise us the
resistance, current rating and mounting details. Resistors with conventional mounting
or surface mounting type (SMT), can be offered.
Snap Action Disc-

The Snap Acting Thermostat Metal Disc is getting increasingly popular as a cost-
effective protection of small motors and appliances.

A Disc of Thermostat Metal is pre-tensioned by dishing or doming. With a rise in

temperature, the thermal stresses produced due to the Bimetal action reach a point
where they equal the pre-tensioning stresses. At this point the Disc snap to the
opposite concave. Upon cooling the reverse action takes place but at a lower
temperature.

The Upper and Lower Snapping Temperatures depend upon the Disc geometry.

Formed and heat treated Discs can be produced on our special purpose machines as
per customers requirements

Solder Top Lay-

Shivalik offers Inlays, Top lays and Overlays of solder in any position on a wide
variety of base materials such as Copper Alloys, Brasses and Phosphor Bronzes etc.
Solder can be applied on either or both sides of the base material using selectively
deposited solder in continuous coil form helps automate your process with improved
solderability
