As petroleum industry is on its threshold in India; and the


need for petro technicians and petro managers is rising
exponentially, we at the School of Petroleum
Management (SPM), Pandit Deendayal Petroleum
University, Raisan (Gandhinagar), Gujarat envisaged the
increasing needs for well-trained petro managers and
started the Masters in Business Administration
programme with a focus on energy sector in general and
hydrocarbon in specific. First two batches of petro
managers that we graduated from SPM got full placement,
which is evidence that the industry needs trained petro
managers.

SPM proactively participates in CII’s Young Indians (Yi), a premier business association of entrepreneurs,
professionals and progressive achievers between the age group of 18 to 40 years, engaged in
creating a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation. SPM Yi Net has
successfully completed its 2 years, wherein it has organized social, cultural, entrepreneurial and
