Procedure for updating new PVT Table

1, Copy all the PVT tables to “C:\Topside \ Tables” folder.


Notes: 1, skip this step if tables are already available.
2, Each PVT contains two tables (Phase density and PVT comp.)

2, Start topside program

3, Go to “Fluid” \ “Fluid calibration set”

4, Enter pass word “alex”

5, select “Edit Density calculations”
Note: 1, if you are adding a new well, select well setup which is not in use.

6, Select “Lookup table / External PVT Package” and press “O.K”

7, select “Update table from file”

8, Select correct PVT table from the folder

Note: There are two PVT tables per zone.


The “Phase density .txt” file is used for density calculations, which has to be used while
updating “Edit Density calculations”
The “PVT Comp .txt” file is used for conversions to STD conditions, which has to be
used while updating “Conversions to standard condition”

9, Select “update MPFM”


10, Repeat steps 5 to 9 by selecting “Conversions to standard condition” instead of
“Edit Density calculations”

11, Select “Permittivity and Conductivity” from “Fluid menu –Fluid calibration”

12, Update Ref water conductivity value and press “O.K”

Once the update is finished, follow the steps to designate the PVT selection to a well
number.
13, Go to “File” and open “well test window”

14, Select an available Well number and change the corresponding Parameter set to the
Well selection number + 1 and press O.K
Example: If you have edited well selection 3 in Fluid calibration Menu, then parameter
set number should be 4 in Well test setup

Save all the modifications to a new parameter file.

15, Select “File / Save parameter file”

16, Enter User password “alex”

17, Change the file name to a new one (example. “R-06_210306.prm”) and save
