3-IN-1 UNDERLAYMENT

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Rapid Roll is a “3-in-1” underlayment for Alloc Flooring that combines a 1 (HDPE)
polyethylene film moisture barrier that has a 3" overlap, 2a closed cell white foam, and 3a
peel and stick tape into one “easy to install” product. Rapid Roll is .075 inches thick with
a 2.2 pound density that exceeds the specification standards for underlayment of Alloc
Flooring’s mechanical locking system.
Rapid Roll offers excellent moisture protection, reduces the installation time, and offers the
compression performance and density necessary to perform under Alloc Flooring.

APPLICATIONS:
Rapid roll is designed as a cushioned underlayment for Alloc Flooring. It can be also be
used under either a glued or a mechanical locking laminate, or hardwood floors installed
in a floating installation system. Rapid Roll can be installed over radiant heated floors as
well as concrete, plywood, OSB board, existing subfloors of hardwood, tile and vinyl. Rapid
Roll can not be installed over existing carpet. Rapid Roll is for residential or light commer-
cial use only.

commercial use.

INSTALLATION:
Start in the corner of the room where you will first begin to install Alloc Flooring, by
unrolling the first Rapid Roll underlayment with the moisture barrier side down; foam side
up. Overlap the walls slightly by bending the moisture barrier edge up the wall approxi-
mately 2 inches. Roll out the next roll, overlapping the tape side over the moisture barrier.
Ensure that the foam edges do not overlap but butt together closely. A level surface is
required. Pull the protective face away from the tape and secure the tape edge to the
vapor barrier edge. Check the doors to make sure they will close properly once Alloc
Flooring is installed. After the flooring is installed cut the overlap even to the floor.
WARNING: Exercise caution while working on the surface of Rapid Roll against slipping.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Substrate must meet requirements set forth in Alloc, Inc Installation materials for Alloc
Original.
